Mattyblue Posted January 4, 2024 Posted January 4, 2024 Mogga’s got to go all the way to Birmingham?! Take it Brady is going to lend him his private jet for a few months? (Until he’s sacked and they bring in Lamps). 1 Quote

Polky Posted January 4, 2024 Posted January 4, 2024 It’s not been a great day for Sunderland fans. Quote
Mattyblue Posted January 7, 2024 Posted January 7, 2024 Spotted Sky have picked their live games until the end of February… surprise, surprise we aren’t on at all, so there are some perks to mid table mediocrity. Also means PNE will be Saturday 3pm. 4 Quote
islander200 Posted January 8, 2024 Posted January 8, 2024 Mowbray named Birmingham manager.2 and a half year contract Quote
Mattyblue Posted January 8, 2024 Posted January 8, 2024 (edited) Their fans are pretty chuffed about it… https://www.smallheathalliance.com/read.php?1,3509577 Sunderland’s aren’t.. https://www.readytogo.net/smb/threads/mowbray-to-birmingham.1624568/ Made me laugh on here when people were trying to say he’d never get another Championship job after here, the ‘wider game’ thinks he’s a pretty good manager. Backroom DE. Posted January 8, 2024 Backroom Posted January 8, 2024 We know from his time here never to take anything he says to the press seriously. Good appointment for Birmingham in the circumstances, although only required because they completely unnecessarily hit the self-destruct button. Quote
JHRover Posted January 8, 2024 Posted January 8, 2024 Birmingham should consider themselves honoured that he's prepared to put himself to such trouble as travelling down from Teesside to do the job. He'll keep them up, they'll be mid-table inconsistent for a year or so and then they'll sack him when they get more delusions of grandeur or realise that the horror runs under him are inevitable. Just hope there's no staff or players at Sunderland that he advised to move on before he got sacked. 1 Quote

chaddyrovers Posted January 8, 2024 Posted January 8, 2024 (edited) Good logically appointment for them right now, Should have never sacked Eustace in the first place. Will be interesting how he plays there and he has good attacking players there Wouldn't surprise me if he try to sign Gallagher in this window Edited January 8, 2024 by chaddyrovers Quote
davulsukur Posted January 8, 2024 Posted January 8, 2024 Mogga's got a brand new bag. He loves a former player to work with, wonder if they'll make a cut price move for Gallagher. The bad news for us is, he'll likely keep them up comfortably which strengthens a relegation rival. Quote

Giant Posted January 8, 2024 Posted January 8, 2024 Travis will be gutted, he might have got a loan move to Brum if he’d waited a few days. Quote

Lot of Rovers fans waxing lyrical about the virtues of Tony on the BBC story about the new Big Club manager. I felt a bit ill reading it, is there another manager out there with a proven record of mediocrity that gets so much good press from supporters? I don't know what I missed. 2 Quote
