Wagner did a good job at Huddersfield and did well to get a tune out of a pretty average Norwich in taking them to the playoffs. I’d have him at Ewood instead of Eustace

Broughton would probably agree with you. Good luck getting Steve onboard with any good, ambitious manager.

Forget the parachute payment teams - you look at WBAs bench compared to ours. It's like playing with one hand tied behind your  back.

They've just brought on 3 players that would easily start for us.

So only 4 clubs next season will have parachute payments, one of which will start on a points deduction.
Burnley, Sheffield United, Luton and Leeds/Southampton.

It’s said regularly at the start of the season about the league being ‘weakest in years’ - but it certainly feels like a good opportunity for ambitious clubs to have a proper go.

That rules us out then.

Oh 100%. Was looking more at the likes of Hull, Boro, Coventry, maybe promoted clubs like Pompey or Bolton if they make it.

The likes of Rovers and PNE haven’t a hope

Add Stoke to that list. They always spend money.

Fixed it for you 😉

They've just snapped up the GK from Rotherham we'd chop our right arm off for.

They have a manager on the up - they'll be a force next season.

Never mind lads, you can always remember wildly celebrating on the pitch after beating Barnsley last week.

Just goes to show that what really matters is not the number of your season ticket holders, but what happens on the pitch. Come the last game of the season our players stood up to be counted; Bolton's did not.

Our players did get us into the situation though where after 45 games they had to win their last game of the season to stay up. If only they had stood up before then.

Masher stating the bleeding obvious.

Yes, they are still in L1, we aren’t (yet), but we can still wish Ewood was a far more vibrant place with thousands more ST holders, especially younger ones.

Bolton are going in the right direction, we aren’t.

Never really understood all this celebrating on the pitch when the job isn't done.

Just setting yourself up for a fall

Only saw the last 20 minutes. Bolton were so poor and Oxford looked great. Pity really. I was hoping for another derby game.

Said it before and I'll say it again.

Bolton Wanderers will be back in the Premier League before Blackburn Rovers.

You'll probably find we will all be dead before either happens.

Tony Mowbray has confirmed he’s stepping down from the Birmingham role as he won’t be recovered fully to have a full pre season with them

The positive news is he is bullish about a return and says he will be back in football management in time
