I always want to play Leeds at home cos I work with 3 Leeds fans and 2 of them think they will walk this league even tho they have no head coach and massive overhaul of the squad happening this summer. Playing them first might just be the right time to play

interesting that.

if we play any of the relegation PL teams I expect it to be on TV

Exactly why I dont want a promoted side. Moving kick offs from day 1? No thanks.

Leicester at Ewood opening day which will be moved to the Friday night, then sky can crow about two premier league winners in the second tier for the entire build up/game.

Exactly. The only time sky use premier league winner tag with Rovers is when they want to rub it in at how far we've fallen. "Blackburn Rovers are now the first team to have won the premier league and then play in League One". They hadn't mentioned Rovers being former PL champs for years before that.

One of the annual footballing rituals tomorrow. When somebody ITK confidently 'leaks' the Rovers fixtures only for it to be proved a load of rubbish less than 24 hours later.

Was usually 1864Roverite back in the day from memory something about being in the know with the police, and they were never correct.

We pretty much know when we'll be home or away, so hoping for something like:

Opener: Leicester Home

Boxing Day: PNE Away

Christmas Home Match: Leeds Home (EFL looking after Swag)

Good Friday: Sheffield Wednesday Home (EFL looking after Swag)

Easter Monday: Huddersfield Away

Last Day: Whoever ends up finishing 6th instead of us I imagine.

Carabao Cup: Bolton or Morecambe away

Edit: Plymouth away in the summer would be preferable!

A great sensible selection of holiday fixtures there but you’ve forgotten that the football authorities don’t have one ounce of consideration for the fans !

So it’s Plymouth away on Boxing Day then.

The fact that they had Cardiff up here on New Year’s Day says it all about where fans fit in with the EFL (and that’s before Sky made it an even more ridiculous fixture).

They’ll probably send Sunderland to Plymouth (or vice versa) on Boxing Day.

New Years day on is always a strange one, seems you can end up anywhere. Remember us playing down at Norwich and Spurs in the past on that date.

Boxing Day they do tend to keep it local "ish" though.

Leeds or Wednesday away would be OK. Probably be Boro or Sunderland.

It won't be Wednesday as Sheff Utd are at home boxing day, Newcastle are at home too so probably rules out Sunderland.

Boro, or a yorkshire trip to Hudds or Rotherham is my guess.

I hope we’re not the darlings of sky this season. There’s not many fixtures individually that particularly looking forward to. No derby match. No big sides - Leeds fans may disagree. No random minnows not likely to play again. Each individual will have grounds to tick off I suppose but other than that not much. Other than nob end there’s no local games either.
