Whilst the others may not be surprising the sides that won have hardly dominated in recent years. Serie A has had 4 different winners in the last 5 seasons (including Napoli's 1st title in 33 years) and Holland and Portugal have had 3 different Champions in the last 3 seasons. Compare that with France where you have a state owned club winning 6 of the last 7 and the last 3 in a row and England where a state owned club have won 6 of the last 7 as well with the last 4 in succession. 2 Quote

Tyrone Shoelaces Posted May 20, 2024 Posted May 20, 2024 There’s speculation Kompany might be on his way to Germany. I hope he stays at the dingledome personally. 3 Quote

Have you seen the size of their squad ? It reminds me of the story Alan Ball told about the first time he took the City squad for training - “ When they all came running up the hill it was like that scene in the film Zulu ! “ Edited May 21, 2024 by Tyrone Shoelaces Quote

speeeeeeedie Posted May 21, 2024 Posted May 21, 2024 Chelsea have binned Pochettino after one season; BBC: Pochettino leaves Chelsea What a reward for someone who looked like he'd finally figured out what he wanted to do. Boehly and his crew have spent enough money to fund the NHS for a good period of time and it has got them nothing. Now they'll have to pay out even more money in compensation to Pochettino and offer a lucrative contract to a new manager who will have the same task as his predecessor of to figure out what to with a bloated squad of expensive Panini sticker misfits, all being carried by Cole Palmer. Its seems Bohely wanted Pochettino to stay on but his businesses partners wanted a change as long Winstanley and Stewart(both DoF). I would have stuck with him but I would go and appoint De Zebri if I was in charge at Chelsea Quote

Basket case decision by a basket case club. Obviously they are Arsenal fans these owners because Pochettino had started to get some results and had them qualify for Europe, which was clearly too much success for their liking. Not that 6th was a huge achievement for what was spent mind. Quote
