Upside Down Posted December 18, 2024 Posted December 18, 2024 I see Liverpool get the crucial decision go in their favour. Nothing dodgy about that at all. Quote

rock steady Posted December 18, 2024 Posted December 18, 2024 I see Morton played for Liverpool tonight. Surprised he isn't out on loan again, as I don't see him ever making it there. 1 Quote
chaddyrovers Posted December 20, 2024 Author Posted December 20, 2024 I dont get that appointment if it made Quote
Tyrone Shoelaces Posted December 20, 2024 Posted December 20, 2024 (edited) I read earlier in an article about set piece coaches that - “ In the Carabao Cup on Wednesday Crystal Palace left three men on the half way line to stop Arsenal having all their players in the box “ ( for an Arsenal corner ). That’s how it was when I first started playing. Edited December 20, 2024 by Tyrone Shoelaces 3 Quote

Forces them to pull players back to defend and when you win back the ball all you need to do is boot it up the pitch and the counter attack is on. 2 Quote

Get rid of 6 players from the scrum around the goalkeeper and he might have a chance of actually catching the ball. 1 Quote

RevidgeBlue Posted December 21, 2024 Posted December 21, 2024 Anyone watching Villa v City? Grealish is absolute pony he just always passes the ball back to his nearest colleague or if he does try a cross just gives it away. Never actually produces an incisive pass or a moment of magic. Quote

He's been ruined at city. At villa he used to go past players now he's just a system player. A bit like what mourinho did to duff 2 Quote
Norbert Rassragr Posted December 21, 2024 Posted December 21, 2024 Pep usually kills players that have that bit of individuality and X factor, as they're subsumed into the system. The exception was probably Messi, but not many players are that good. Anyway, hope Plastic City stay humble. 1 Quote
roversfan99 Posted December 21, 2024 Posted December 21, 2024 Duff's main issue was injuries, he was a really important part in the first couple of title wins. 2 Quote

He has had players like De Bruyne, the 2 Silva's and last season Foden who were individually brilliant and at times off the cuff even within that system. Grealish has to an extent been neutralised but I dont think he was ever and never will be ever close to that sort of level. 3 Quote
roverandout Posted December 21, 2024 Posted December 21, 2024 Morgan rogers is so good to watch. His strength technical ability is superb 2 Quote

I think Grealish is one of those players who would thrive at a club where he is the main man, as he was at Villa...a little bit like how Bellamy seemed at his best during his one season at Rovers. I don't watch City but doesn't he also get played out of position a lot as well? 3 Quote

He said so himself in a recent interview. Edited December 21, 2024 by Forever Blue 2 Quote
Mattyblue Posted December 21, 2024 Posted December 21, 2024 Yep read a piece the other week where it was outlined that Pep flatly does not want his wide men dribbling and taking players on. 1 Quote
