Since this thread is meant to be about PL I have a question to those watching. I see Nottingham Forest is 2nd in the league. How are they playing? Deserved or lucky?

definately deserved,a really good defensive unit playing counter attacking football and they look threatening from set pieces, espirito sanchez has also got the archetypal donkey wood scoring goals, which is some achievement

He's always good for 10 a season at least, unfortunately.

Awful Manchester United tonight. Massive rebuilding job there for Amorim now

Lewis Hall, left back for Newcastle, excellent tonight and I hope Tuchel picks him as England left back now.

Much deserved. Nuno has got them playing well, Well organised, counter attacking and Wood, Gibbs-White, Anderson, Hudson-Odoi and Elanga all playing very well.

Man Utd, the gift that keeps on giving.

A rebuild of biblical proportions is required.

I can’t see a way back for them in the short to medium term. There’s too much wrong with the whole set up at the club. I can't see them going down but they’re a long way from being a force again.

Oh thank God, have you seen league of Ireland 🙂.

I've been to Finn Harps of all places. Only ground I have ever been to that played country music - and only country music - over the tannoy but thoroughly good fun. Wonderful part of the world too.

I was also wedged into Richmond Park a couple of years ago for a sell out St Pat's v. Bohs. Goalless draw from memory but a proper game of football in a proper ground. The standards, settings, tactics, society etc. may change but for me it's all football at the end of the day.

Oh, and since I've wittered on about the LoI - well done to Damien Duff on his triumph this year as manager of Shelbourne!

Really?

Aberdeen, St Mirren, Motherwell, Dundee United, Kilmarnock, Hearts, Inverness CT, Hibernian, Raith Rovers, Livingston, Ross County and Rangers have all won major honours during the time I have been watching Celtic.

I can list all the others prior to 1984 if you’re struggling.

I was having a quiet conversation with someone from Coventry, about pubs in the city and about Coventry City. In you butt (once again) about glory hunters at Celtic after having it explained to you at least twice previously on why Celtic supporters generally choose to support Celtic.

You’re the gift that keeps giving.

If you consider one of those Scottish Mickey Mouse Tins a major trophy then yes I suppose you're right.

Actually, there is an ongoing discussion in the Premier League thread (the English one) about glory hunting plastic fans such as yourself. You couldn't wait to get in there and start beating your gums about Celtic.

You've never answered the question as to why you choose to support Scotland's biggest club over any of the others, you just gave some cryptic non answering bullshit that a Tory MP would have been proud of.

We know why the majority of people support Celtic and Rangers, it's because they're plastic glory hunters.

Don't give up son, you really are the gift that keeps giving.

Edit to add that there's actually three Scottish teams to have won major trophies, forgot about Aberdeen.

A stat which I have seen of late is that only three individuals have ever won the league title with Man United, and one of those has been dead for nearly a century. Doesn't half scream peaks and troughs!

All incorrect. Try again.

Don’t call me son. I’m older than you, wiser than you and have forgotten more about football than you’ll ever know. Both in England and Scotland.

You don’t need to know why I follow Celtic. I’ve previously given you enough clues but not unsurprisingly, you couldn’t work it out.

Looking at some of your previous posts (various threads, not just this one) you seem to sprinkle the posts with the f word and the c word. I suppose you test the moderators on here to see if you can get away with it and, if you do, you continue. Gives you a bit of a hard man image, eh?

So my last bit is in your language.

Give it a fucking rest.

It would be great if Ipswich can turn last nights win into some momentum and stay up. I'd like to see at least one of the promoted sides stay up, just to give the rest of us hope I suppose. Liam Delap is starting to look like a very promising centre forward these days as well.

Chelsea being linked with Delap now

Your bitterness is clear here.

People can choose whoever they want to support. Thank God we don't live by Mattyblue law on who you can support.

By and large, they don’t support them. They sit at home in front of the telly and wouldn’t ever  venture to the matches.

Youre a supporter Chaddy. You’re there at every opportunity and put thousands into Rovers. They don’t.

I went to Anfield earlier this season when Forest won one nil. People were just writing the result off as a bad day for Liverpool.

What I saw was a forest side who played 5 across the back with big lads in the centre of defence winning everything. They defended deep denying Salah and his mates no space to run into. Forests keeper wasn’t ever stretched.

Up front down their left flank in particular they had skill and pace that threatened Liverpool more and more the longer the game went on. Forest looked a good side to me.

I watched that game and agree with your assessment. Liverpool couldn't get into Forest's 18 yard box, then Hudson-Odoi came on and caused havoc. Murilllo and the Serbian (I think?) at the back are being linked with all the big clubs.

I've not seem that much of Forest but they have an ability to get Gibbs-White on the ball a lot. He has surprised me. He never shirks in receiving the ball and keeps motoring.

I watched the first 25 minutes of Man U-Newcastle yesterday. Zirkzee and Hojlund are the pick of really bad players in a team of really bad players, and that is saying something when Eriksen and Casemiro, both way past their prime, started in central midfield.

It will never not be good to see though. Man U and their fans lorded it over the football world for 20+ years. Adding in the easily unlikable Ratcliffe makes their demise and utter shambles funnier to see.

It's Liverpool away for them next. ten Hag managed to bag a couple of boreless draws against them when the going got tough for him. I can't see Amorim being able to do the same, especially if he keeps to his stated 3-4-3 formation. Liverpool's fans will expect their team to put Man U to the sword, and the way they are currently playing they should run riot.
