windymiller7 Posted February 18, 2024 Posted February 18, 2024 For anyone that didn't see it live today, great interview with Tom Lockyer on Sky today. For someone who comes across as a right nob on the pitch (the type of player we are crying out for!), he speaks really well about his collapse on the pitch in Dec: 1 Quote

davulsukur Posted February 18, 2024 Posted February 18, 2024 Amari Bell goes back to his Rovers form and makes an absolute howler in thr first 30 seconds against Man Utd, gifting them a goal. Quote
roversfan99 Posted February 18, 2024 Posted February 18, 2024 Typical Bell. Not a very good player. Quote

jim mk2 Posted February 18, 2024 Posted February 18, 2024 I wonder if the "nice" Sam Gallagher is sitting at home watching Morris of Luton giving an object lesson in how to be a not-so-nice but very effective centre forward 3 Quote

I've been looking how that compares to our previous strikers, and surprisingly it's roughly the same strike rate as Mike Newell had for Rovers. Quote
davulsukur Posted February 19, 2024 Posted February 19, 2024 Roy Hodgson has stepped down from his role as Palace manager. Assume it's because of his health issues he's had recently but Palace really need to get their next appointment correct. Close to the drop and playing relegation rival Everton tonight. 1 Quote
Gav Posted February 19, 2024 Posted February 19, 2024 I can’t watch Adam Wharton playing for Palace, turned it off. These ******* owners eh… VENKYS OUT - NOTHING ELSE MATTERS 4 Quote
LeftWinger Posted February 19, 2024 Posted February 19, 2024 Philip Schofield supporting Everton tonight. He heard their midfield was Young and Gueye. 6 Quote
den Posted February 19, 2024 Posted February 19, 2024 (edited) I’m watching him Gav. My heart sinks. Talk about mixed emotions. Brilliant to see his talent on show in the PL, but livid that Venkys sold him at the first opportunity - and without a replacement at that. I’ve never accused any rovers chairman of that before. Does anyone think Venkys will have any emotions about selling such a young local talent so soon? I don’t think they will , not for one second. I’m not sure Waggott or Broughton even gave him or the fans a second thought. Theres no heart and no soul in this club. It’s an empty shell. I’ve never said that before either. Don't get any ideas maggot London, innit. Sure I read before that they make about £3 Mil per home game. Imagine that, for a family with 3 kits they’ll all want on top. Madness. Quote
jim mk2 Posted February 24, 2024 Posted February 24, 2024 Jarrad Branthwaite getting much praise at the moment and even being mentioned in England terms. It's odd because he was distinctly underwhelming with us and Harwood-Bellis looked the much better player. It has to be said - we had some excellent loan players with us under Tony. 2 Quote
roversfan99 Posted February 24, 2024 Posted February 24, 2024 The loan signings under Broughton in comparison have been woeful. Admittedly especially this season, im sure minimal wage contributions have played a big part so its on the owners. Quote
Ewood Ace Posted February 25, 2024 Posted February 25, 2024 That Burnley keeper is terrible and yet they keep picking him. Can only assume it because of the crazy sum of money they paid for him. Quote

Speaking to some Burnley friends they are more critical of his stubbornness in a few aspects than anything else. Quote
Mattyblue Posted February 25, 2024 Posted February 25, 2024 To be fair Branthwaite was 18 when he was here, very young for a centre half to be chucked into a Championship first team, but he physically looked the part if nothing else, every chance he was going to develop. 3 Quote
simongarnerisgod Posted February 25, 2024 Posted February 25, 2024 chelsea not putting away a liverpool side with numerous teenagers in it is shocking with the amount of money lavished on that side.poch next for the sack,he generally has so many players to choose from that he has`nt got clue about most of them 1 Quote
roversfan99 Posted February 25, 2024 Posted February 25, 2024 The amount of shit that the commentators on Sky (notably Peter Drury, taking over from the even worse Martin Tyler) come out with is obscene. Quote

Fair play to the Liverpool kids, but as a Chelsea fan you’d be furious at that extra time performance. Having said that, the Liverpool keeper was outstanding in normal time. Quote
Backroom DE. Posted February 25, 2024 Backroom Posted February 25, 2024 A shame that since 2014 the league cup is just another trophy to be passed around between the usual suspects. 3 Quote
