Gave away an equalizer yesterday with one of the worst howlers I've ever seen (1:55), then restored Malmö's lead with the game-winning goal (3:25).

Very reminiscent of Dolan away against Coventry earlier in the season

I know he never delivered really but I wish he was still here rather than Forshaw or Woodrow

as lightweight as he was, he had good off the ball movement and finishing ability.  2 attributes that are lacking in the squad as a whole

I suspect one day we will get the truth of what happened with him and his departure and it won't paint the club in a good light whatsoever.

Suspect you may be right, I imagine a certain number of appearances would have triggered either a contract extension or a bonus payment

He was poor, he isnt missed.

Although another symptom of the current regime. We had a player who was scoring for us, we rejected bids instead allowing him to leave for free. We signed a freebie to replace him, he didnt do anything, then we unprofessionally kept him beyond the window closing and showed a total lack of class, leaving him unregistered and having to be paid off.

I thought he was the one rejecting bids?

He was never great here and only showed flashes of ability and had limited fitness and availability, but he at least offered the possibility of potential.

Do I miss him? No. But all of the replacements are an undeniable downgrade on the possibility of the team improving or overperforming.

Sigurdsson at least offered the hope that we might have signed a bit of a gem. I'd take that now.

We don't miss him because he was never on the pitch however he's is clearly another who was messed about behind the scenes. No doubt by the lord of penny pinching lurking in the shadows.

One begins to wonder if he's on commission of some sort.

Problem is with this kind of thing despite getting a high earner netzero contributor off the books the way you do it can bite your ass further down the line.

Siggy is at another big club now with good players and he's a regular international so chances are at some point a player we are trying to sign asks him about Rovers.

'Good club but run by arseholes, steer clear' might be the response.

Would you be surprised if it was something to do with bonuses etc?

Perhaps yes, I was thinking along the lines of they had his wages earmarked for cuts and they made damn well sure he was moved out of here regardless of what manager or player wanted.

I think Eustace would have liked to have kept him and the player himself would have preferred to stay until the summer and suspect all manner of dirty business was taking place to make sure that didn't happen and probably contributed to Eustace's departure soon after.

These weird and suspicious things keep on happening at Venky Rovers usually around the back end of transfer windows.

Something like that I'm sure.

Another case of a player being earmarked as unfit and then making a miraculous recovery the second they leave.

I would much rather he'd have stayed, is a quality player although not the toughest.

Good for him

Glad he is playing football

Clearly some BS going on by the club when he was here and " injured" the guy clearly needs to play and can play but likely some stupid contract issue  poorly implemented and then managed by the club.
