We have hopefully saved ourselves a bit of money and he has the chance to go somewhere and actually play some football.

Showed glimpses of his ability and was certainly one of the best finishers at the club. His lack of pace was a major issue and made it difficult for him to make a position his own. His constant injury problems also derailed any opportunities to build form and consistency.

Made sense why we signed him, it was worth a punt, but didn't work out.

Could have been a decent player but just plagued with injuries, so he's not really going to be missed.

Feels like the club handled this badly though and it clearly agitated Eustace when he was here.

Talent, yes, application, no. The occasional flash of excellence but only really useful as an impact sub on the rare occasions he was fit.

Might be useful in another league, if he can get back to proper fitness, but don't think he's suited to a physical league like the Championship.

Lad is an excellent finisher. Didn't see any other aspect of his game which was up to scratch - be it through ability or attitude.

Wish him the best, but he was the obvious casualty if we had to trim the squad by 1.

An absolute mess to see a player unregisterer because we had too many players and had to be paid off.

But hes been crap for us. Made of glass, slow, soft and a huge disappointment.

Is it? Like you said he wasn't any use to us. What would have been better, not signing one of the other players so we could keep someone we don't need?

My guess would be we probably paid him about 15k per week of it anyway. The saving will mostly be from the summer onwards, which was happening anyway.

There is still a way of doing things and again ours wasnt the right way.

Although, im not sure Woodrow needed to be signed.

Peaked in his first month.

After that he was mostly injured with the occasional flash of talent.

Not worth the wages at the end of day. Could've worked out differently but ultimately better for both sides to move on.

A shame as there’s talent there and as above either way to get to this scenario is chronic mismanagement, we’ll likely have paid up the bulk of what he’d have got if he was here.

All free for Derby to sign him and him to save them from Relegation ..it's written in the stars!

We've had this argument a number of times already. He can only go somewhere where the window is still open this season.

(I think)

Think he could have done a decent job in the no 10 or free role position cantwell plays. I'd wager he'd chip in with more goals than Cantwell who isn't exactly tearing it up. Never fit though unfortunately.

Always wondered how injured he actually was or just didn't fancy sitting on the bench.

Like me playing tonight I show flashes of brilliance but return to slug fest mode quickly

Is that the case even though he's now a free agent?

Wow that's ridiculous.

I see a correlation between us signing players on short term deals

Siggy leaving

JE leaving

No coincidence this all happened in the same couple of weeks

That would depend on the terms of the mutual agreement.

Looks like he already had a deal set up with Swedish club Malmo who were all ready to take him during Jan but he refused now he will get a signing on fee plus his wages ….5 Games all season all sub appearances …. good Riddance…
