Surely a ticket for this game would be as rare as rocking horse shit - wouldn't a majority of people just have paid cash at the turnstile?

A bit before my time (first game in '83), but I don't remember ever having a ticket for a league game until late 80s/early 90s after Jack took over & interest in the club started to boom again.

Edit: Clarified league games. Remember needing tickets for cup games against Utd & Liverpool.

I must admit, it completely passed me by that Spurs were in 2nd division in late 70's!
