It's a bit frustrating because it feels like JDT's attempts to mould the team further into his image over the summer has been severely hampered by our cashflow issues, so what we're going to see is still only going to be a partial implementation of what he wants to achieve, especially in attack, as it has been since he arrived.

Nonetheless, it is what it is. WBA aren't doing so great themselves so it's a fixture that gives us a chance, albeit I can only see us sneaking one goal, maybe two if we're lucky, so we'll need the defence to be rock solid today.

Not particularly. Average gates of c14k for a decade, sometimes a bit less. But generally that’s the figure which makes sense as ST sales have largely remained stagnant at the 8/9k mark for years.

Whereas they’ve boomed across football this past decade.

If this is correct they have been steadily increasing, up nearly 3500 since 19/20 season!

22/23  Championship 14,737

21/22  Championship 13,032

20/21  Championship - No data

19/20  Championship 11,460

18/19  Championship 14,550

17/18  League One 12,832

16/17  Championship 12,688

Those figures are incorrect. 19/20 is miles off for a start.

I think 2019-20 was 13,873. That was the season interrupted by Covid and 2 of the 5 home games we lost were against Leeds and West Brom who were the top 2 teams and who would brought significant travelling support to boost the average attendance.

Blackburn End isn't far from being full and Jack Walker looks busy. Hopefully 14k plus Rovers fans today.

Are they showing it live anywhere?

Yes Ewood Park.

It al depends where you start from! if you're starting from 1950's they've gone massively down. But others are correct to identify a national trend of rising attendances everywhere in recent years while ours are only fractionally up.

I'd be tempted to go 4-3-3 today:

                    Kaminski

     JRC, Carter, Hyam, Pickering

          Travis, Tronstad, Buckley

      Markanday, Szmodics, Dolan

  .

I think Szmodics can do a job up front until hopefully we sign one in the next few weeks and/or Ennis gets up to speed.

I think they need to bring Leonard on slowly.

Leonard will now start and get a hattrick.

I was thinking this morning he might do something like this. Playing with no striker won't help our cause but he might opt for this instead of chucking Leonard into the deep end.

The video pass gets more mysterious by the day, WTF does this even mean?

Quote

Overseas supporters will be able to watch today’s season opener against West Bromwich Albion online for just £10!

Jon Dahl Tomasson's side get the new Championship campaign underway against the Baggies at Ewood Park, kick-off 3pm.

The game can be viewed on our RoversTV platform by purchasing a matchday video streaming pass by clicking here.

The live stream, which will start at approximately 2.35pm, will not be available in the following countries:

  • UK and Northern Ireland
  • Isle of Man
  • Guernsey
  • Jersey
  • Russia

Season Pass holders that are affected by today’s Pitch International TV selection can still listen to live audio commentary via RoversTV or by watching the game on local channels.

1. I'm an overseas supporter, as I'm literally across the North Sea, so I suppose I should be able to watch the game for £10

2. I'm not in any of the listed countries where he match is not available

3. I'm a season pass holder, so I can listen to the match?

Jesus, get your message together.

BTW, before you mansplain it to me, I realize I won't be able to watch the match through rovers TV.

fixtures have been kind to us on the first 3 games,i think we`ll get 9 points before the inevitable drop off, though if we get some signings in there is no reason we can`t be pushing for the top six all season

Who's scoring the goals?

It's a bloody shambles mate. I had my match pass cancelled as its not available in Sweden. Only 5 or 6 European countries can broadcast it.
