Not comparing them skill-wise, but he reminds me of Andrea Pirlo, that casual languid style, always seems to be in space and can beat a player without using pace.

I always thought the same of Tugay too. I watched a thing a while ago on Messi at Barca and they analysed how he created significantly more space barely moving and choosing his moments compared to everyone else running about. Sign of a special player for sure.
