Stonesrick Posted September 2, 2023 Posted September 2, 2023 A total lack of intensity. Too much hype during the week about the 0-8 Quote
OsloRover Posted September 2, 2023 Posted September 2, 2023 Unbelievable refereeing, everything is allowed. Might as well get Garrett on. 4 Quote

So so poor today. Same song and dance every time. He has a spell in the team playing terribly, slated by all, then gets injured for a while and there seems to be some kind of mass amnesia where everyone forgets how poor he is, leading to optimistic takes of Gally leading the line and proving the doubters wrong (also he's 27, not some youth prospect). He then returns, reminds everyone he's not a good footballer or striker, gets injured again and the cycle repeats. 5 Quote
Wing Wizard Windy Miller Posted September 2, 2023 Posted September 2, 2023 Some really poor performances by Rovers players, yet no way do we deserve to losing. 1 Quote
G Somerset Rover Posted September 2, 2023 Posted September 2, 2023 This German / Bosnian lad is going to need to be the second coming of Klose for us to challenge for the play-offs this season. 6 Quote
ItsRoverZ Posted September 2, 2023 Posted September 2, 2023 This ref will send one of ours off for thier first fucking foul ffs!! When we inevitably go 2 down ..our bench is too piss poor weak to help change the game. Thanks venkys 4 Quote

He’s certainly not a starter though in a team who…ahem…perhaps have aspirations for the play-offs however. Quote

I'll be fair and say that until their goal, which was against run of play, it was all Rovers and we could have been 3-0 up. 1 Quote
BankEnd Rover Posted September 2, 2023 Posted September 2, 2023 (edited) I came into this game expecting a lot more from Plymouth to be honest. They’re a poor side and if we had any decent finisher in the team we’d be winning this…Poor. Edited September 2, 2023 by BankEnd Rover 6 Quote
Exiled_Rover Posted September 2, 2023 Posted September 2, 2023 This referee... Two borderline red cards not given, allowing players to go through the back of everyone and a blatant penalty not given. He must be a mate of their manager. 1 Quote
Miller11 Posted September 2, 2023 Posted September 2, 2023 Travis and Hedges off for Garrett and Gilsenan please! 2 Quote

So often overrun, especially as those two aren’t particularly athletic at all for this level. 1 Quote

CambridgeRover Posted September 2, 2023 Posted September 2, 2023 Half time thoughts - Lewis Travis and Adam Wharton just put on a horror show in midfield. No ability to pass and low energy. John Buckley is in Sheffield (idiot move). - Hedges and Gallagher have no attacking intent. 2 Quote
rovers11 Posted September 2, 2023 Posted September 2, 2023 If you miss an open goal like Hedges did then you get punished. Wharton has been awful. Far too open at the back for my liking. Quote
New Jeru Posted September 2, 2023 Posted September 2, 2023 Might be the worst game I’ve seen Hyam play for Rovers, Travis and Wharton are constantly finding themselves wrong side when Plymouth come forward, and it would be nice if we had better finishers than Hedges and Gallagher up top. The ref is a complete joke, too. Oh, and Short corners continue to be a mystery to me. Other than that, no complaints. 1 Quote

simongarnerisgod Posted September 2, 2023 Posted September 2, 2023 wharton needs a rocket at half time, his demenour has been shocking,we also need to be more aggresive, plymouth are basic but determined,,still confident we can score, just need to up the tempo Quote
yankfan Posted September 2, 2023 Posted September 2, 2023 Wasteful first half. Should have been out of sight after 20 min. 2 penalties not called. No amount of time with JDT can fix Gally. Their goal was unlucky but both Wharton and Trav dropped too deep giving time and space. 1 Quote

jim mk2 Posted September 2, 2023 Posted September 2, 2023 Back to earth with a bump after the training session game at Harrogate. And we should be leading but the usual culprits in attack just don't have the extra bit of quality. It's the little things that make the difference 2 Quote
joey_big_nose Posted September 2, 2023 Posted September 2, 2023 Think weve been pretty good, just usual struggles with final ball and finishing. Not really sure Id change much tbh. If Buckley was around Id be tempted to bring him on for Travis. Maybe give Garrett a go? Quote

It really really isn't, Wharton raw and young and will have games like this alot this sesson and Travis although starts a season well is a poor footballer, our next options are Tronstad who's started life slow here and Jake garret an untested academy product .. 3 Quote
