End of the day how much authority is he actually going to have?

My view is very little, they just keep creating ’Head of’ this ‘Head of’ that roles diluting any other power base within the club and the Swag/Suhail axis carries on merrily on its way.

It was me who posted not the Trust.

Okay, thanks for confirming.

It could be a bit miss leading they way that was posted then, so not too sure if that needs amending, as it could prove to be important. It is you that welcomes the appointment then, not WATR?

From speaking to him and listening to his interview posted today.  Hopefully a big improvement on Broughton.

Why ?

I keep seeing this but what is the reasoning behind it other than he's a popular ex player ?

Yet all of them are master of nothing!!

I suppose he does count as ‘popular’ after this shambolic decade, though that’s not saying much considering the never ending conveyor belt of no mark journeymen we’ve largely been subjected to .

Who appointed Broughton and who appointed Gestede?

If the same person / people why do you think there will be an improvement?

They've already proven they can't make the right decision if Broughton was indeed a dud and since then the budget has been slashed and we've a weaker squad to start with.

John Park said,

“I’m so delighted to be back,” said John. “It was a club that was close to my heart when I left and I’ve always kept in touch with the people at the club, so I’m really looking forward to the challenge of trying to put another team together.

if that’s the case I have to ask you John, why did you leave in the first place?

How long do you give him before he’s off again ? 6 months , a year, 2 years ?

Yes, I have welcomed his appointment.

Why?

The guy refused to play for us..

What's his CV?

Another puppet for maggot and  pasha to manipulate.

Fair enough, it’s their free time and I imagine a lot of it goes into it too.

But the core offer of that day is the ticket reduction. So what’s the ‘similar alternative’ to tenner a ticket you have planned? @Miller11?

The idea is to alter the format a bit of the fans takeover games rather than just doing the same thing again.

It was reiterated we would still have the opportunity to have some cheap ticket offerings. Burnley was one mentioned. That seems like a good game to try and pack out with home fans and create a bit of atmosphere around.

Really? I’d be amazed if they chose that.

They may be a bit wary of getting pelters for giving the dingles the full Darwen End especially since they didn't do it last time, so there's no big bumper away crowd to fleece.

That would be tremendous but they'll never have the bottle for that under this regime.

No need to give them all the end - or anyone else for that matter - restricting it to a max 5000k with most in the upper is enough tickets.

Stop this 'big welcoming awayday' nonsense that Ewood is becoming known for in the Championship. In this era of young squad and a lot of inexperienced players breaking through lets make it all about giving us the best home advantage we can instead of a full end of big city hordes breathing down their necks down that end.
