Immunotherapy

Sat in Derriford hospital (Plymouth) having my 6th dose of Pembro and all appears to be going well although I've got an ultrasound in a couple of weeks as my last scan showed my bladder was somewhat enlarged but haven't got any symptoms of anything being wrong.

The care, communication and treatment I've had from this hospital is fantastic, the only downside (2/3 times) is my local surgery keeps managing to cock up my blood test dates/times/samples.

Less than 5 months to retirement, can't wait! 🏆

Just stumbled on this. Glad to hear the treatment is going well. Last year my cousin was given six months, three tumours in the brain and numerous cancers in his back. Went through Immunotherapy and at the six month mark was given the news that the head tumours are inactive and the cancers in the back gone. Has regular PET scans though.

I'm actually at Derriford hospital in Plymouth ATM waiting for another scan (5th in less than a year).  When I said no side effects, I've recently started itching and scratching myself till I bleed sometimes 🤦‍♂️

Got cream for it and also on steroids because of low cortisol levels but generally feel ok, not completely 100% but I'll take this tbh. 👍

Hi guys, thanks for the thoughts 👍 yes all going well, tumour has stabilised, may shrink more but will eventually re grow, then it's chemo etc.

Side effects now kicking in, itching like a flea bitten dog lol. Got cream that helps but if that's the worst thing, bring it on.

Walking football tomorrow, I rotate into the nets for 3/4 of the hour.

Always positive 🙏

My mum's cancer was too far gone by the time we realised she had it. Otherwise we could have given her chemo. It was in her brain bones liver kidneys.  It's coming up to a year since she passed.  I'm glad u are doing ok DeeCee

Thank you, I was diagnosed early but alas too late, I operate at 80% physically but full on mentally which is frustrating but - life is good. I'm at the hospital (70 mile round trip) every 2 weeks for either treatment, scans or consultants meeting. Care etc I get is 100% + 🏆
