Black2022 Posted October 8, 2022 Posted October 8, 2022 Hey guys, I am a Master's student at the University of Brighton from South Korea. Being a female fan myself, through my thesis research I want to find out what can enable more male fans to live, breathe and sleep the women's games as much as you do for the men's games. I would really appreciate your quick minutes into the survey I designed for the research I am conducting. 🥰 Survey Link: https://brighton.onlinesurveys.ac.uk/male-british-football-fans-attitudes-towards-attending-wo-8 Thank you guys xx Quote

StubbsUK Posted October 24, 2022 Posted October 24, 2022 Has anyone been watching the Ladies this season? BRFCS sponsor Saffron Jordan and the games I've managed to get to this season she's scoring some cracking goals, including this against Charlton the other weekend ... 3 Quote

I, but I see the excellently named Farah Crompton scored twice yesterday. Quote

Norbert Rassragr Posted February 12, 2023 Posted February 12, 2023 Our women's team were playing Coventry United (formerly Coventry City women's team) today at The Butt's Park Arena. I was in the park nearby walking the dogs with my dad and had no idea it was on. The stadium was sadly empty, and we lost 3-1. Quote
bluebruce Posted June 20, 2023 Posted June 20, 2023 No longer Rovers Ladies! Now Rovers Women https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2023/june/20/a-new-era-starts-now/ Quote
Miller11 Posted August 26, 2023 Posted August 26, 2023 Just been to my first Rovers Women’s game and it was a thoroughly enjoyable experience. Definitely be going again. 7 Quote

I’ve only had a really quick look but last season the record was broken with a crowd of 1001 (21.8.2022 vs Sheffield United). I’m presuming this is the one which has just been bettered. edited to add link: https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2022/august/22/it-doesn-t-get-any-better-than-that-says-donnelly/ Edited August 30, 2023 by wilsdenrover 1 Quote
arbitro Posted September 10, 2023 Posted September 10, 2023 I couldn't find a Rovers Ladies thread so I am putting one up. I went to watch Rovers Ladies against Sheffield United today primarily to meet an ex refereeing colleague but I have to say I really enjoyed the game. In truth I have been a sceptic about ladies football before but watching closely today has changed my opinion. From being one goal behind and missing a penaty in the first half Rovers came back to win 2-1 in a thoroughly entertaining match full of commitment and no little skill. The only criticism would be about our failure to turn really good chances into goals. Rovers were clearly well coached and a tactical change at half time saw us become dominant and in turn worthy winners. I heard on the PA system at full time that we play Crystal Palace on October 8th at Ewood. We have already pencilled the date in. 2 Quote
philipl Posted September 11, 2023 Posted September 11, 2023 Palace won 9-1 on Saturday. That will be a test against the league leaders. Quote
Hannoverover Posted September 17, 2023 Posted September 17, 2023 See that Rovers Women's team won again! Seem to be making year on year improvements for a while now. Does anyone know what the expectations are for this season? Could they play in the top league in the short-medium term based on ability and facilities? Quote
only2garners Posted September 17, 2023 Posted September 17, 2023 Now second on goal difference with 3 wins out of 4. I’ll ask again to get the thread changed to Rovers Women? 4 Quote
Proudtobeblue&white Posted September 18, 2023 Author Posted September 18, 2023 Can those with more nous than me change the title of the thread to Blackburn Rovers WFC? Quote
