It will level out over the season, as it almost always does. I think, performance wise, we’ve been amongst the best in the division so far - and the stats support that, but results haven’t gone our way. We’re due to spank somebody, so no better time than today. Ipswich 0 - 4 Rovers. Nice thought Andy. Both away at Plymouth and home to Sunderland we lacked strikers so we aren't scoring. We've conceded too many goals so is now the right time to replace Pears? We have some decent players with Wharton & Moran a class above the rest imo but squad is same today with the disadvantage of an away journey by coach. Ipswich 0 - 0 Rovers 1 Quote

TonyM Posted September 23, 2023 Posted September 23, 2023 (edited) We're giving away far too much in midfield with weak tackles and careless passing, and we are struggling to score from the chances we do create.... So , inexplicably I expect us to win this one 3-1 Can only hope ... Edited September 23, 2023 by TonyM Quote

ItsRoverZ Posted September 23, 2023 Posted September 23, 2023 Wish I had the optimistic views of others on here, routine win for Ipswich I think probably one of Ipswichs easiest games this season Quote

Hedges' decision making, judgement and execution are awry at critical times whether it be in front of goal (PNE away last season, Plymouth away this season) or when defending (Sunderland the other evening). JRC's best spell for Rovers was as a rampaging full back last season. Brittain is very good going forward with good delivery - IMO, better than Hedges and would provide much better cover for our full back than Hedges (as seen in that rash penalty conceded on Wednesday). We need more 'impact' players and JRC / Brittain tick the boxes and would make our right hand side much stronger both defensively and going forward - Hedges at best is average. A 'no brainer' for me. I think Hedges is better than average. 6 minutes ago, TruRover said: Anyone know how many we’ve sold for this? over 800 Quote

Exiled_Rover Posted September 23, 2023 Posted September 23, 2023 75 minutes on Weds where JDT said he looked knackered and thrown straight into the starting lineup on Saturday - that's a shot across the bows to Hedges / Markanday / Dolan if ever I saw one. If only he was so ruthless with Pears... Quote
