windymiller7 Posted February 6, 2024 Posted February 6, 2024 Why are we even bothering appealing? The EFL must be pissing themselves laughing - "oh, you again! Didn't learn then eh? Knobheads!" 9 Quote
Dreams of 1995 Posted February 6, 2024 Posted February 6, 2024 That statement. Wow. All I really have to say on the matter Quote

He also won't sit there explaining that they were told they couldn't make permanent signings at a late stage. We all know (at least the majority do) that the owners are a bunch of twats However it's hardly their fault that all the paperwork was completed by around 10,pm but "due to an administrative error" it wasn't forwarded by the 11 pm deadline. Just wtf is going on there ? GB told us after the last embarrassment that procedures were now in place to avoid anything like that happening again ! Just fuck the lot of them Edited February 6, 2024 by Tugayisgod 2 Quote

At least it admits an error was made. It is I think though insulting everyone's intelligence to suggest either that the EFL will overlook the error as though it were a minor issue or that we will ever sign the player on a pre contract agreement. He probably breaks out in a cold sweat at the mention of the words "Blackburn Rovers" by now and who could blame him. Quote
JHRover Posted February 6, 2024 Posted February 6, 2024 This is hilarious. Almost a word for word copy and paste of the shit they were coming out with last February after the O'Brien fiasco. It would be bad enough if this had never happened before, but twice in a year in identical circumstances? A disgrace, embarrassment and utterly tragic. I don't know how they dare even release this statement after last year. 5 Quote
davulsukur Posted February 6, 2024 Posted February 6, 2024 Obviously he wasn't ever joining, the club is a fucking shambles. Also, why would he even want to join us next season, when we are likely going to be in League one? 1 Quote
des Posted February 6, 2024 Posted February 6, 2024 For it go happen once is bad but to let it happen again is just beyond words Quote

sharpysharps86 Posted February 6, 2024 Posted February 6, 2024 2 official club statements in the last 2 weeks. Got a feeling there will be a few more in the coming weeks at this rate 😂. They're an embarrassment, and we need to let them know it at every opportunity. 1 Quote
arbitro Posted February 6, 2024 Posted February 6, 2024 It's really incredible that it's happened again and that they are appealing the decision. And had they not messed McGuire about by calling the transfer off and then dragging him from Sheffield then nothing would have been rushed. Amateur doesn't do this and last January's fiasco justice. 5 Quote

Lack of time doesn't appear to have been a problem. They say all the paperwork had been completed in time, we just didn't submit it. You wouldn't expect this sort of incompetence at Non League level and it's happened twice. Quote

Popular Post BigUts Posted February 6, 2024 Popular Post Posted February 6, 2024 You can only think at this stage that it's deliberate sabotage. It surely can't be anything else. 24 Quote
Popular Post RoverKyle Posted February 6, 2024 Popular Post Posted February 6, 2024 The last administration error probably cost us a place in the playoffs last season. This one could potentially see us relegated this season. Absolute shambles of a club. 14 Quote
rob_of_the_rovers Posted February 6, 2024 Posted February 6, 2024 Surely sends a signal to any other player that we are not to be trusted with deadline day signings so not to bother with us 6 Quote
roversfan99 Posted February 6, 2024 Posted February 6, 2024 Its been acknowledged as an error. I presume people will be sacked with immediate effect now... 3 Quote

Popular Post MrT Posted February 6, 2024 Popular Post Posted February 6, 2024 Amazingly transfers out seem unaffected by paperwork delays etc. funny that 13 Quote
JHRover Posted February 6, 2024 Posted February 6, 2024 Just wonder how many others of these deals there might have been over the years, ones that haven't been common public knowledge I very much doubt we've conducted ourselves properly every window bar the last two January's. I bet there are dozens of similar horror stories that we don't know about. Quote
danger19_80 Posted February 6, 2024 Posted February 6, 2024 Broughton will be gone after the EFL reject the appeal. He's in charge of the football operations, he promised lessons would be learned from last year's debacle. Whether he deserves to take the blame it'll be him that carries the can. 1 Quote

Why do you pretend to be ITK? You just make yourself look silly. Being fair Tommy also posted that some papers weren’t sent in on time (a lengthy discussion about fax machines ensued) so maybe not totally out of the loop 😉 4 Quote
