Browjd Posted February 1, 2024 Posted February 1, 2024 What I do not get is that as I understand, in India there is a intensive focus on your honour/reputation. Venkys have been bashed, hated, snowballed, ridiculed, financially drained, etc. Their reputation is below poor in the UK (and beyond). Why do they carry on? Isn't their image important as an Indian family? Quote

There was never s chance of any signings. I wouldn't be surprised if Wharton was assured money would be spent if he left. As soon as the ink was dry though... Dream venky window. Just need one more striker off the books now. Anything is possible in Venkydom ! Quote
BankEnd Rover Posted February 1, 2024 Posted February 1, 2024 Its just excuses!! "Blackburn can get on with their recruitment" ooo aye yeah once the player we've been chasing all month decides to go back home and we have 14 hours to get bodies in. JOKERS! 6 Quote

philipl Posted February 1, 2024 Posted February 1, 2024 Andy Bayes The latest, as I understand it is that the Wharton transfer came close to collapse last night. That had a knock on effect to potential incomings at Blackburn. The Wharton deal appears to be back on and close to completion & Blackburn can get on with recruitment Quote

chaddyrovers Posted February 1, 2024 Posted February 1, 2024 Duncan McGuire's flight to Manchester arrived at Terminal 2 7.58 this morning. I hope GB was there meeting him and taking him and his agent straight to Brockhall 3 Quote

It's possible, sure... But nah, I think it's probably quite obvious... The kid is moving out of his family home to go to live in London alone, he'll be at the opposite end of the country to them... he's only 19! It's likely that he's been pushed out of the Club that he adores, against his will, where he's played at since he was 6 alongside his big brother. The poor lad has probably had an emotional meltdown, and I wouldn't blame him. Edited February 1, 2024 by TheRevAshton 2 Quote

He's clearly being forced out to pay the bills. 1 Quote
Lancaster Rover Posted February 1, 2024 Posted February 1, 2024 There are a hell of a lot of pretty wild assumptions being made here, for example it's as likely to be a haggle over triggering wage increases for England appearances as it is Adam not wanting to leave Rovers. 1 Quote
