What I do not get is that as I understand, in India there is a intensive focus on your honour/reputation. Venkys have been bashed, hated, snowballed, ridiculed, financially drained, etc. Their reputation is below poor in the UK (and beyond). Why do they carry on? Isn't their image important as an Indian family?

Well. Isn't this the most predictable thing to wake upto after an early night.

There was never s chance of any signings.  I wouldn't be surprised if Wharton was assured money would be spent if he left.

As soon as the ink was dry though...

Dream venky window. Just need one more striker off the books now.

Anything is possible in Venkydom !

The latest, as I understand it is that the Wharton transfer came close to collapse last night. That had a knock on effect to potential incomings at Blackburn.
The Wharton deal appears to be back on and close to completion & Blackburn can get on with recruitment

I get a couple of things from this...

- Obviously, we can spend money - but not without this sale, which figures.

- The saddest thing of all to me, is that Adam clearly must have stalled on signing the paperwork - the poor kid doesn't want to go 😢

Or his agent wasn't happy with terms being offered ? Let's be honest - we don't know.

That's all well and good bit if that goes through and our deals don't, we're still in a detrimental position. And if Adam didn't want to go either then what was the point of any of this?

Forcing out Adam Wharton , sad day for the club

I must admit , it is beginning to look like that is the scenario !

Crystal Palace is not a dream move compared with many other Prem clubs..

Adam signed Scotts name on the contract instead of his own

This is an objectively funny post, but today’s not the day for a lot of people

It's possible, sure...

But nah, I think it's probably quite obvious...

The kid is moving out of his family home to go to live in London alone, he'll be at the opposite end of the country to them... he's only 19! It's likely that he's been pushed out of the Club that he adores, against his will, where he's played at since he was 6 alongside his big brother.

The poor lad has probably had an emotional meltdown, and I wouldn't blame him.

From what I was told at the Wrexham match he had no interest in going to Palace.

He's clearly being forced out to pay the bills.

There are a hell of a lot of pretty wild assumptions being made here, for example it's as likely to be a haggle over triggering wage increases for England appearances as it is Adam not wanting to leave Rovers.
