Both might be great but neither is proven. Leonard has at least scored one goal in Europe. Again might be great but proven he is not Quote

JDT wasn’t a bad striker and could improve him as long as his attitude is right and he’s keen to learn. It will be a step up for him but at least it’s not stepping up from youth football. Well he's got him for four months. 1 Quote
Reginald Posted February 1, 2024 Posted February 1, 2024 I love the optimism and positive energy on this forum 😃 2 Quote

Ricky Posted February 1, 2024 Posted February 1, 2024 Let’s hope it’s a good one. One good loan signing could be the difference. A top quality loan (Doak or someone of that calibre) could end on a positive. Quote

Ricky Posted February 1, 2024 Posted February 1, 2024 John Fleck. Decent signing who will be coming to start Quote
Dreams of 1995 Posted February 1, 2024 Posted February 1, 2024 Well, that’s a good signing. Only for 6 months but fair fucking play Quote
Polky Posted February 1, 2024 Posted February 1, 2024 There’s your centre midfielder and more experience… 5 Quote
davulsukur Posted February 1, 2024 Posted February 1, 2024 A free transfer to boot, so like keeping that powder dry then. Quote

OldEwoodBlue Posted February 1, 2024 Posted February 1, 2024 So we sold our 6th choice striker to Stoke and got a 6th choice striker on loan, probably on lower wages. Inspirational. 1 Quote
Bethnal Posted February 1, 2024 Posted February 1, 2024 Impressive, although - again - another only to the end of the season. Has to be something in the lack of commitment past the end of the season. Something has to be driving it. 1 Quote
booth Posted February 1, 2024 Posted February 1, 2024 Is it a good signing? Sheffield United fans aren't as kind! Quote

Presumably Venky's having no idea if they'll be able to fund the club by then and limiting any future additional costs. Wharton money assumedly carries us until then. 5 Quote
Tim Southampton Rover Posted February 1, 2024 Posted February 1, 2024 Fleck is a good signing. Less nervous about our midfield options now considering what it was like 5 minutes ago! 4 Quote
jim mk2 Posted February 1, 2024 Posted February 1, 2024 Fleck is 32 and the Coventry loanee 37 so you have to say the need for some experience in the squad has been addressed. Fleck's arrival should mean JRC can stay on the right flank, where he is best. Wharton has gone but add in the American lad and getting money for Ennis and the window could have been worse. Let's see how it goes 2 Quote

Ricky Posted February 1, 2024 Posted February 1, 2024 Played a good number of games in the championship last season. Will be a useful player for us over the coming months. We’re still weaker but I’d say it’s an ok end to the window. Think the Liverpool lad will be a squad filler after reading a few comments so he’s the one I’m probably least convinced by. Quote
