Sreenivasa Rao was brought in September last year to control the financial side of things. Rao is based out in India. Rao is what about 5 or 6 hours in front of the UK time. Rao would most certainly not give enough of a shit about Blackburn Rovers to sanction a deal at 4 in the morning.

So did Steve and Suhail take a punt and say everything was fine, to then get told get fucked then Rao woke up?

They're the ones who allegedly have the answers so it's time one of them spoke.

Anyone got a cosy meeting with Steve lined up in which they can ask him?

They went through the charade of the appeal last year and all that came out from it was the stone cold facts of how they 'cocked it up'

I said last year they sabotaged the deal deliberately and I am holding firm on the same position this year.

I still lean towards them just being incompetent but I’d be in no way surprised if it turned out you are right.

Did JDT or the club even know about the McGuire issue by Friday lunchtime when he was due to do his pre match presser? I’d imagine, like a lot of us on this forum (not the Twitter or Facebook idiots) that he was just fuming that we’d made a club record sale and brought in a few more kids on loan and a couple of old boys on short term punts.

If no-one resigns or is sacked over the matter, it is definitely suspicious.

Whoever is responsible for McGuire mess with the paperwork should be fired from the club immediately. It is completely and utter unacceptable from Rovers management..

Interesting JDT didn't mention GB but Waggott, Pasha and the owners so it clearly where he puts the blame

In the post match interview JDT said that one of the signings last played in November, one signing has played 89 (to my memory) minutes in total this season and the rest were young loan players who need to get up to speed...

He clearly is not happy

Perhaps the twitterati could make him feel better. It was 8/9s out of 10 on there. Of course if you look beyond having a North Korean State TV approach to how you virw Rovers , most in here felt the same as the man who's spent his life in professional football successfully.

The Rovers top brass at this end are lining up deals and getting told yes carry on then when the numbers drop in Pune the finance men are saying no.

Because of the lack of 11th hour and 59 mins actual confirmation and money changing hands someone at this end is deliberatly fudging paperwork to buy extra time.  Hoping when India gives it's confirmation the EFL etc will ok it after accepting the delay or accepting it after appeal.

If India says no then it's still ok because they haven't committed the club to the final sign off and the keep their job, maybe even get a pat on the back.

That was my view with O'brein and it's the same now the upstairs at Ewood is playing silly trying to be clever and protect both sides.

It was telling none of them were used off the bench yesterday,  that was clearly a message from the manager to those above him.

And we all know that nobody will be held accountable for any of it.

It was also telling that they were ALL on the bench in the first place - someone (Suhail) is pulling rank imo

My understanding is that a permanent fee was agreed up until it was not... and a loan offer was offered late instead

Even if it went through does anyone actually think we are going to pay those kind of figures for a player now ?

No chance, hit or miss he'd be on a plane back to Orlando by the end of May anyway.

You can guarantee though had they gone for the Brum striker at 10.55  pm on loan or till the end of the season it would have gone through by 10.59 pm !

MLS Reporter has claimed that the paperwork was completed at least 100 minutes before the deadline…

Plenty of time left to check over the paperwork, so they can’t blame the lack of time, it’s just pure negligence.

Neither McFad nor Fleck are fit. I could not believe they were even on the bench

For those looking for a scapegoat look only to Pune.

If McGuire fails there may be a paid fall guy chosen at Ewood, just a coverup.

Nobody at Ewood has the balls to have taken lone action without instructions from above.

If it fails I hope McGuire can sue via a US court.

What a fcking mess this is?

Heads must roll now. This is not a Director of football or head coach messed up but again the admin side the Club. It is very clear what should have now and who should be remove from their roles immediately
