Backroom DE. Posted February 8, 2024 Backroom Posted February 8, 2024 Got to feel for McGuire. Should have just signed for Wednesday instead of giving us a second chance. Still, I'm sure he'll be well up for signing a pre-contract for the summer 🙄 5 Quote

Popular Post Polky Posted February 8, 2024 Popular Post Posted February 8, 2024 “As was previously communicated by the club, Rovers will fly over to the United States over the coming weeks to try to conclude a pre-contract agreement with Orlando City, so that the 23-year forward can officially become a Rovers player in the summer.” Time for some pay back Duncan, tell them you’re not interested just as the flight sets off from Manchester. That will teach the clowns 👍🏻 26 Quote
Popular Post alex l Posted February 8, 2024 Popular Post Posted February 8, 2024 It's one thing messing up the signing. It's another being classless about it. In the statement today and the previous one from the club, they do not apologise to the player, Orlando, the representatives of both and to us fans. Manners cost nothing (which you'd think would be ideal for our club at the moment) but they seemingly can't afford to use them. Rotten from the top. 13 Quote

Backroom DE. Posted February 8, 2024 Backroom Posted February 8, 2024 Just waiting for us to release Greg's clip from last year saying mistakes are made but it definitely won't happen again, with any mentions of "Lewis O'Brien" dubbed over with audio of Gregg saying "Duncan McGuire". 6 Quote

That will teach the clowns 👍🏻 Isn't this the exact stunt they played with Brierly(sp)? "Sign him, cock up the paperwork, get a pre-contract deal and then watch as they go literally anywhere else)" It's like they're doing it deliberately to pretend that they're still ambitious. 2 Quote
RoversClitheroe Posted February 8, 2024 Posted February 8, 2024 (edited) It's honestly such an appalling statement, given Waggott and the PR person were in a meeting just yesterday with the fans. Waggott just doesn't learn does he. Edited February 8, 2024 by RoversClitheroe 1 Quote

simongarnerisgod Posted February 8, 2024 Posted February 8, 2024 can you believe having the nerve to fly to orlando to try and sign mcguire for next year🤣 2 Quote

TugaysMarlboro Posted February 8, 2024 Posted February 8, 2024 Poor lad should steer clear. We aren't sure if GB is still in situ or if we'll even continue with the DoF/Head Coach structure. So he may not even be a target if we are completely changing structure (again). It's an absolute mess. One thing is for sure, Waggott has assured us that there's money without the Wharton sale to keep the club running. So we should have that inevitable warchest this summer *ahem* Quote

For me…… give me a manager with vast experience of the championship and let him pick his own players to play in his style. That though, doesn’t fit in with a club still fixed on primarily developing young players and selling them as quickly as possible. That’s a flawed model. Edited February 8, 2024 by den Quote

Popular Post Angry_Pirate Posted February 8, 2024 Popular Post Posted February 8, 2024 "Hello Duncan, On behalf of the Blackburn Rovers supporters, I want to apologise for the shambles of a Football Club we now associate with, and for all the events of the past 10+ days. We - the fans - would have been lucky - and thrilled - to have you. However, this current iteration of Blackburn Rovers does not deserve you. Do not - under any circumstances - consider joining this farce/circus in the summer. This club is Rotten, and until the owners (Venkys) leave, stay well away. If you could do the thousands of supports here a huge favour, PLEASE, tell the world (US Media) your story, embarrass our football club, name and shame those to blame. We could really use your help! Apologies again. We will track your career with interest, and support you from afar. Good luck, and most importantly, whatever you do... NEVER sign for Burnley! Regards" Likely never gets seen. But felt compelled. 16 Quote
