Although that didn't start with Williams. If I remember rightly, Williams resigned as he felt he was being undermined. It was the next bloke who got potted for sending a letter listing all the problems. I think that was more because it leaked, too, tbf.

Hence why we've never had a real board of directors to run BRFC the way a football club should be run.

If we did it would have been a constant battle between board and owners as to what is best for the club not their whims and friends of the family self interested advice.

Until we have an actual Blackburn based board of directors the same stuff will happen over and over whilst we stay in limbo to their finance.

Think you are right, however, pretty sure Rovers have been having discussions with many clubs about many players and Beadle may well have been a conversation before Ayari was agreed if indeed it was a loan deal they were seeking.

I'm convinced we don't need £20m a year just to sustain. That figure hasn't changed for years, yet all we've done for the past 3+ years is slash the wage bill.

The Beadle rumor is rubbish I imagine.

However......Imagine a scenario a few years ago when we got shut of (then a shocking) Jason Steele and someone told you we would be trying to loan a keeper who is 3/4th choice behind him. Sign of the change in stature and fall from the top table.

I’ve been thinking the same thing. Why do they still pay £20m per year when they have reduced everything from high earners, to reducing everything else.

Something doesn’t add up to be losing that much still.

That why they are keeping things well hidden. Maybe we’re up more than £220m debt or in-fact they’ve slashed some of it and they just don’t want to spend and keep us just ‘bobbing’ along.

Seems they have never been honest either way. And the ones they employ who keep quiet, they keep as they know it will keep their ‘secrets’ safe.

Firstly, I am against Garrett or Leonard being loaned out for the rest of the season as for me both had a big part to play here. I would choose to loan out Ennis over Leonard or Telalovic. 

I still think we need 4 more signings including 2 defenders, 1 midfielder and 1 forward before this window ends.

I would be amazed if we did as I think we need to move Gallagher off the books(had the same opinion in the summer just for the record). We need to move on from Gallagher and I would just offer around for free if it meant we can bring in a striker for a small fee or loan to buy agreement.

Not really. He is a good Championship CM, but he's limited to certain systems. He's clearly not good enough for someone to outright pay our asking price, but a loan is an enticing option for many clubs in this league.

Why on earth would we want a 19 yr old keeper from Brighton when we are all lamenting the inexperience of our two 24 yr old keepers?

Also the last goalie we loaned from Brighton was probably the worst keeper we have had since Fettis.

We need a good goalkeeper before we need any of those, for me, but you don't think we need one at all?

For me that's easily our weakest position with in our best 11, and the main reason we have fallen away from the playoff chase.

For the ever optimists, here is some comments from Killie and Villa fans ref Chrisene.  Surprised he's a centre mid in their view 

 

Blackburn Rovers fans having a meltdown over this signing, in a negative way, as seem to think they're signing too many youngsters, that might be case, but judging from some of the comments I think they might be surprised at how good he is, they should also note he's probably just as good if not better in central midfield and can also play on the wing. A lot will depend on how his injuries have affected him, but if he's as good as he was then he should be okay in the Championship, was rated in the same class as our very best academy players at one point, and that still might be the case, again will come down to how much his injuries have affected him.

 

Centre mid is where i think he is best. Could have been a Gareth Barry mk 2 but has suffered from so many injuries since the FA Youth Cup win. Good luck to him and i hope he can get a run of games. 

 

Chrisene getting a loan to the Championship shouldn't be a shock, he's already proven himself at Scottish Premier League level, if it wasn't for injuries it would have already happened before now, he's one of our more highly rated academy players of recent times

No I wouldn't be signing a keeper in this window. When Pears is fit I would put back into the team and I'm fine with that for rest of the season and next. 

I would be focusing on signing players we need. For example a striker who can finish the chances we created.

That's absolute madness IMO, Pears is just as shit as Wahlstedt. Which of them is better is just a case of who is or isn't in form at the time, and Pears could certainly be ropey coming back from an injury...he was also becoming ropey again before it. Even if he is better than Wahlstedt he is still woefully inadequate and will cost us a lot of goals over a half season.

But to each their own, if you think he's hunky dory I think you can't spot a keeper at all, but you're entitled to your opinion.

Let me ask you though, we are 9th in the league for goals scored and 2nd from bottom for conceded. Why do you think we need to score more goals more urgently than we need to stop them going in, and if it's not the goalkeepers at fault, why are we conceding so many in your view?
