benhben Posted September 27, 2023 Posted September 27, 2023 We.got Chelsea away. Good trip out for those who go. Hope they're still shit then. Quote
BankEnd Rover Posted September 27, 2023 Posted September 27, 2023 (edited) Fancy us to beat them! Presume it will be midweek so won’t be as big following as many think. Hopefully the club put on free coaches! (Doubt that) Edited September 27, 2023 by BankEnd Rover Quote
bazza Posted September 27, 2023 Posted September 27, 2023 So the Blackburn End remains closed for this one too 7 Quote
Backroom Tom Posted September 27, 2023 Backroom Posted September 27, 2023 Great draw, good place for our lads to play and if you have to go away to a premier league team I feel you’ve as much chance upsetting Chelsea as anyone 6 Quote
Guest Posted September 27, 2023 Posted September 27, 2023 It's not a great draw. However, we thought that when we played West Ham and Leicester last season, and JDT got a tune out of those games 😉 It's a cup competition and it is always good for your players to be tested by those from a higher league. COYB! Quote
martonrover Posted September 27, 2023 Posted September 27, 2023 Would’ve been a good draw had we come out first. Almost certainly won’t be televised and they will undoubtedly take it seriously with no European football. Quote

Trinidad Rover Posted September 27, 2023 Posted September 27, 2023 I’m living 10 mins from Chelsea so delighted with that. Fancy us in this one with JDT ball. Chelsea can’t score. 5 Quote
Ghost7 Posted September 27, 2023 Posted September 27, 2023 2,000 - 3,000 fans missing tonight. The message from the CEO is clear: "Don't come, we don't need you" 2 Quote
Guest Posted September 27, 2023 Posted September 27, 2023 It could have been worse - imagine being a Mansfield of Port Vale fan just now, with all those glamour ties just balls away, but failing to drop out of the bag. No one will consider the possibility of us winning, which I think is always a better starting point for Rovers than us feeling like we can walk it. Quote
SuperBrfc Posted September 27, 2023 Posted September 27, 2023 Chelsea have been shite under Poch so far. All the pressure is on them to win something. Tough draw, but it could be the kind of game where our new style surprises them. Looking forward to it. Quote
bazza Posted September 27, 2023 Posted September 27, 2023 We'll have to tighten our defence somewhat to prevent double figures. Quote
Guest Posted September 27, 2023 Posted September 27, 2023 And magically, Rovers.co.uk is back up and running again... Quote
roversfan99 Posted September 27, 2023 Posted September 27, 2023 Another really entertaining game after long queues getting into the ground, if only we had other stands. Moran was really good as was Sigurdsson despite his missed penalty. Markanday and Hill also impressed and Garrett put himself about and got a good goal. Full backs decent too. Telalovic looks nowhere near the required standard, not what we needed. Tronstad kept losing the ball in stupid areas, Scott Wharton is a shadow of the player from 2 seasons ago and Wahlstedt was poor for the first. 2 Quote

jim mk2 Posted September 27, 2023 Posted September 27, 2023 Shame we're not playing Chelsea at Ewood Maggott could have closed the BBE, Jack Walker and Riverside 6 Quote

I'm a big fan of Occam's razor. The website is back up because they're incompetent - they haven't deliberately turned away people buying tickets. These cup games are MASSIVE for Waggot's end of year report - it's essentially free money that he never could account for under Mowbray. 2 Quote

Exiled_Rover Posted September 27, 2023 Posted September 27, 2023 Just now, Commondore said: How did Wahlstedt look? Well, having watched the highlights, both of their goals hit the side netting, so I can't imagine he was that calamitous. 3 Quote
