If the decision to close the BBE for financial reasons, surely the blame lies in Pune (and maybe our stay away fans).

Someone who know nothing about traditions and fans feelings, so Pune is correct.

The stay away fans may well increase on the back of another crazy decision though, but no way are they to blame.

As a long standing supporter I have no goodwill left to lose. I still go because I'm a stubborn bugger whose not prepared to let these feckwits drive me away.

That's the thing about goodwill - it is often assumed to be elastic by those who rely upon it to get more out than they put in, but of course it is completely inelastic if constantly abused. There comes a point in any relationship, however, where the broken elements (trust, goodwill, reciprocity, capacity to accept disappointment) are all too far gone to retrieve. And that is where so many Rovers fans have sadly reached, in their relationship with what was once a wonderfully run, family oriented club with a proud tradition and a bright future.

We all know that the state of the game isn't what it was when Jack Walker was around, and there are plenty of clubs that have endured and come through desperate times and odious owners. But it does feel like Rovers have had a particularly painful fall from grace, especially when the club now seems to be run simply as a line on a spreadsheet for owners who neither give a toss, nor seem to have a plan for changing the script (other than to run us into the ground).

So fair play, RogerB and all you stalwart who endure the decline first hand at our shadow of a stadium. Let's hope the boys can put a smile on your strangely dislocated faces on Wednesday evening, and that there is a loud and continuous chorus of "Open Up the Blackburn End, and Waggot Waggott OUT!" from the JW from kick off to final whistle.

Rovers 1 Cardiff 1 Bluebirds to edge it on penalties 18-19

They don't make these kind of decisions and the cost of opening it would easily be covered by those who would go in it. The savings will be non existent if it wipes hundreds off the crowd and certainly not worth ruining the atmosphere and pissing off even more fans.

It's pathetic shooting into a totally empty home end when the other half of the opposite end is open for a couple of coach loads.

The last 4 games Rovers have dropped 9pts out of 12, mainly down to Pears and his dip in form, he was responsible for Rovers not coming away with a point against Ipswich. He punched the ball instead of catching it right in front of an Ipswich forward who stuck it in the back of the net. As for Wednesday night closing the Blackburn End will make the crowd even smaller. I was impressed with Sigurdessons debut, were getting there players who can stick the ball in the net.

I would say getting 3 points against Leicester and the playoff place at the season is more important.

League has to be priority every time whilst having a good cup run but the league matters first.

Ask the Wigan supporters. They were trying to avoid relegation whilst on a good cup run. They went all out to win the cup and did so. What did it matter that they were relegated that season or the next or the one after?

Wigan's name is on the list of FA Cup winners for evermore just like Blackburn Olympic.

My thoughts are with you and your family. My Father passed away nearly four years ago. Time is a healer. You will have your memories of your times together. Hold on to those.

It's to save money...

Oh, well it might be 'their stadium' but it is OUR HERITAGE, OUR TRADITION and OUR ATMOSPHERE that is being lost through this death by a thousand cuts.

SHAME ON THE DECISION MAKER(S) AT THE CLUB FOR SUCH A CRASS GESTURE OF STUPIDITY.

As otherrs have suggested, it would be very interesting to see from the club exactly what they expect these cost savings to be, and how the numbers were derived.

It;s all a smoke screen IMO.

Like i said previously he'll just spin it to suit his dour miserable downgrading narrative like he did with STs, cheap ticket offers etc.

Worst thing is it gets swallowed by general fanbase most of who won't turn up to these anyway unless it's Man U or Liverpool.

Even with 5 injuries and Buckley away, JDT can make 10 or 11 changes and nobody would be making a debut and the majority would be players we would expect to be full first team covers vying to be picked every week.

I wonder if we will see 45 minutes of Sigurdsson at number 10 building him up then Moran or Markanday there second half?

I guess we won’t know until the crowd is announced, but it could be an idea to check what not opening the Blackburn ends saves, in advance.

Waggott has stated that he expects a crowd of 6,000 so is we get 5,000 for example, the maths are easy enough.

For those going, I hope he gets it from you large.
