I guess my issue with committing as many players forward as we are is teams who do it usually have some the best players in the division, not a good but flawed squad.

Feels like there's a mis match between the relative quality of what we have versus the opposition and the way we play.

Doesn't matter how well we play if we're repeatedly conceding multiple goals. They've had two shots on target and scored both of them. It's just not good enough.

I think the football we play is fantastic.

They just have more clinical players like Vardy up front, because they can afford it. Simple as that.

We're one of the worst teams in the division for goals conceded and games lost so far, and moreso if we lose again today. We're also 18th as it stands. It's as simple as that, regardless of how much you enjoy the football.

Yeah but apart from all that it's first class 👍

As frustrating as all this is, it unfortunately reflects the difference in budgets. We have no striker to simply smash one in; a defence and GK that here and there handle the basics but are mostly in the team not because they have proven themselves, but because we have no funds for anyone that can deal with actual quality opposition, such as Vardy. If anything our chance creation is better than you'd expect, but that counts for nothing.

The Venkys BR Facebook account touted how we have "signed 7 players" but its October and only 2 are playing. That says it all for what JDT was given.

And a CEO who won’t rock the boat to say, we need a f***ing good striker.

It’s less than 20% of games played, the table is always slightly exaggerated at this stage. If we’re there or lower by November, then it’s a time to get concerned.

This.

If we're anywhere near the play offs it'll be an absolute miracle. Makes last years capitulation even more painful

What were you expecting? Did you think we had the budget to challenge at the top?

oooooh 18th, on the 1st October LOL. Means nothing!

Garbage. I certainly don't find suicidal football where we're conceding multiple goals per game exciting. Have Leicester even broken sweat? They've scored 2 and could have had another too.

Ipswich and Preston have shown that if you do the basics well then you can do well with a bang average squad. We on the other hand are now at 9 goals conceded in 2.5 games.
