superniko Posted October 4, 2023 Posted October 4, 2023 The line up is giving me the Burnley away vibes where we moved players around with Mola coming in and Hedges at full back. Quote
Guest Posted October 4, 2023 Posted October 4, 2023 Pretty even so far, although their chances have been better. Quote
roversinmyblood Posted October 4, 2023 Posted October 4, 2023 Both Wharton and JRC are way to slow and lazy to play as defensive midfielders. We have no real protection for the defence. 1 Quote
Ricky Posted October 4, 2023 Posted October 4, 2023 They are walking through our midfield time after time. Quote

Bethnal Posted October 4, 2023 Posted October 4, 2023 Weird line up, but I don’t hate it (save for a recognised striker and Siggy not starting). Dolan’s started brightly, as have the front four as a whole. Hyam storming forward as a stopper is a role he is visibly not comfortable with. Weird one that we keep asking it of him. He’s positionally solid, dashing forward nullifies this trait. Carter’s clumsy, so I get why you wouldn’t want him doing it, but maybe just don’t have a player doing that? Intrigued to see what happens, we need to walk away with something here and a clean sheet is top of the wishlist. Quote
Blow-in Posted October 4, 2023 Posted October 4, 2023 JDT is a smart guy, he knows we don't have the money to sack anyone. We could have Jimmy Saville coaching the youths and we would have to turn the other cheek. Quote

Exiled_Rover Posted October 4, 2023 Posted October 4, 2023 We look much more secure defensively without Pickering and Pears. Quote

CrouchingNunhiddenCucumber Posted October 4, 2023 Posted October 4, 2023 Lack of striker a real issue here, just can't see us scoring 3 Quote

martonrover Posted October 4, 2023 Posted October 4, 2023 Against more modest opposition here, so we have half a chèvre. Trouble is, we still look bereft of goal threat. Even Sammie seems to have caught the disease. Quote
Miker Posted October 4, 2023 Posted October 4, 2023 Probably been our worst performance of the last few weeks so far, so we will probably win this one. 2 Quote
yankfan Posted October 4, 2023 Posted October 4, 2023 Great ball by Szmodics…no one wants to get in the box and score Quote
Tugay-is-God Posted October 4, 2023 Posted October 4, 2023 Szmodics lays it on a plate for our invisible centre forward. 6 Quote
roversinmyblood Posted October 4, 2023 Posted October 4, 2023 We are still making way too many bad decisions when we are in possession. Quote

Exiled_Rover Posted October 4, 2023 Posted October 4, 2023 Ball rolled across the 6 yard box by Szmodics with no one there to tap it in after we counter from their corner. Same old problems. 1 Quote
Guest Posted October 4, 2023 Posted October 4, 2023 Rovers' transfer window in stark relief there. A striker would have buried that. Quote
superniko Posted October 4, 2023 Posted October 4, 2023 (edited) Quality has been really low with Dolan and Markanday out wide (unsurprisingly). Wharton having a good game in my opinion, Moran also bright and seems very good at nicking the ball of the opponent. Brittain again very good Edited October 4, 2023 by superniko 3 Quote
