Popular Post LDRover Posted October 4, 2023 Popular Post Posted October 4, 2023 We're playing well here, all our best stuff through Moran, Szmodics and Brittain. We all know what happens next though. 12 Quote
BigBar Posted October 4, 2023 Posted October 4, 2023 Brittain again proving how good a player he is. Solid performance so far just need to put a chance away. Playing well. 7 Quote

Formations don't exist anymore it's all transitions. If we defend we play a 4, on attack they step into 3 and a 3 man midfield with a free role. If it's a month with 30 days in the striker drops deep to form a paradigm shift midfield Games gone! 7 Quote
superniko Posted October 4, 2023 Posted October 4, 2023 (edited) Frustrating that with 1 minute to go in the half we have a free kick in an area we can stick it in for our 3 cbs but we play it short and back to our own half. Coventry doing what we should have here. Thankfully shocking output from them Edited October 4, 2023 by superniko Quote
Crozzy Posted October 4, 2023 Posted October 4, 2023 Is this the longest we haven’t conceded for in last few games? 😂 3 Quote
martonrover Posted October 4, 2023 Posted October 4, 2023 How many times have we witnessed this? On top, but can’t hit a cow’s arse with a banjo. Chances are that Robbins will have Cov fired up for the second half, and the usual pattern will continue. 3 Quote

Miker Posted October 4, 2023 Posted October 4, 2023 First Moran, now JRC down clutching their groin. What have we been making them do in training?? Quote
CrouchingNunhiddenCucumber Posted October 4, 2023 Posted October 4, 2023 Got to be trying to win this game, Cov really average. Siggy could be the key Quote
rovers11 Posted October 4, 2023 Posted October 4, 2023 Decent so far but no real attacking threat. Coventry have been dreadful. Quote

BigBar Posted October 4, 2023 Posted October 4, 2023 Famous last world's but think we go on to win this. Quote
ItsRoverZ Posted October 4, 2023 Posted October 4, 2023 Weird half, don't look as brittle at the back but I think that's because Coventry look shite, we play some nice stuff but as always it's the final ball or lack of striker in the box for us. Dolan though having a good game which I'm so happy with, lad deserves it Quote
johnradfordsubbuteo Posted October 4, 2023 Posted October 4, 2023 No. Centre. Forward. Make a great futsal team mind. Quote

Moran was hit in the bollocks - not sure what’s that’s got to do with training 🤣 Anyway, very good first half. Dolan surprisingly good, Wharton looked better. Hill looked decent and Brittain again really good. Once again, we need to make it count, but the game is ours to win. Also Wahlstedt not being Pears is an immediate upgrade. 1 Quote

We aren’t a lucky team, we miss guilt edge chances and this one just feels like it is going the same at way as the tail end of last season and last run of matches. 1 Quote
Polky Posted October 4, 2023 Posted October 4, 2023 (edited) What has happened to Dolan? He used to love running at the full back, cutting inside and shooting. Like every winger now, they just run, stop and then pass to the full back. Edited October 4, 2023 by Polky Quote
Displaced Rover Posted October 4, 2023 Posted October 4, 2023 Knock it around nicely but just no end product (which is obviously entirely predictable when you play sans striker). Quote
Wing Wizard Windy Miller Posted October 4, 2023 Posted October 4, 2023 (edited) The only real consolation to the last few weeks is that the games we've lost were all top 6 sides. There's some mediocre dross in this league. Still think we'll lose this though - no goal threat. Edited October 4, 2023 by Wing Wizard Windy Miller Quote
