Once again, guilt edged chances missed, no luck and can’t keep a clean sheet. When you see Dolan and Markandy on the team sheet, you really do worry where the goals will come from. Hopefully, Ennis might improve things should he ever be deemed fit to play a competitive game but looks like we are in for a long and tough season.

Frankly staggered that the EFL appointed the referee to the match after his horrendous error, against the same opposition at Ewood last season. A decision that took our play off place and handed it to Coventry, absolutely stinks.

Was that the same ref who allowed their handball at Ewood?

Staggering if so.

That’s mad. If we are a couple up he should be sat relaxed with his feet up.
He could do most of your points without actually being names as a substitute. It’s just a waste of a space on the bench if you aren’t going to toss him on for 5 mins when behind.

I couldn’t understand why he was there if there was no intention of playing him.

Always look on the bright side of life!!

With a full squad to pick from, we are more than capable of winning matches in this league. JDT hasn’t been backed and we are down to the bare bones, particularly up front. If luck ever evens out for Blackburn Rovers, we are due a mammoth winning streak.

The highlights are up on Sky. As someone said, the frustration is the goal was given and then chalked off. However it’s hard to say that the keeper doesn’t have both hands on it.

Equally hard to say he does have both hands on the ball and the referee seemed happy with it, until he realised it was Blackburn Rovers.

Some stuff about people supposedly overreacting. We are 20th in the league with an average of a point a game, and have lost 4 in a row. What do people expect?

You can give examples of teams who have pushed on from poor form, but there will be equally examples of teams who havent suddenly won game after game.

We can forget about the playoffs this season. We're dire at both ends of the pitch and that is 100% at Venky's door. Though Broughton's signings have been largely pointless as well.

That may well be true, @RTM08 ; but if our owners can't/won't make a proper budget available, then you can only recruit in those parts of the market you can afford.

And if we can't recruit players to pull us away from the relegation zone, then, for me, there's only one family responsible. And their base is in Pune.

Why don't they sell us? Surely they feel some embarrassment at the way our fortunes have declined since they bought us??

If you pause it, he looks like he does - just.

The big issue I have is I believe the linesman didn’t flag. If he thinks it’s an offence he should put his flag up. That adds weight to him not being sure.

Not to be pedantic, but asking people if they expect to win every game looks daft when we are 20th and have lost 4 on the spin.

I get the spirit of the post and agree it wasn't as bad as it could have been but people are going to be pretty miserable at sitting 20th with 5 defeats in 6, especially after the hope (and crushing disappointment) at the end of last season.

Well let's see where we are after Gallagher, Ennis, Leonard and Hedges are fit again. The sooner the better obviously.

Yes it's obvious that we are all miserable right now... But some posters, one in particular, calling Carter shite is just wrong. Travis is hit or miss for me right now.

I know Gallagher has a lot of detractors but we do a lot better with him in the team than not.

We will l be OK I reckon. We won't get promoted thank god as I think we will be an embarrassment in the Premier league with these owners.

They’re mic’d up, aren’t they? He could just as easily have said something through an earpiece.

The Coventry players ensured that decision was changed. Looked like both linesman and referee who was much closer were happy with it, until they had a chat and the referee recalled his vendetta against Blackburn Rovers. Given last year’s Ewood fixture and the clear play off consequences of his inability to spot the keeper’s handball goal, he shouldn’t have been appointed to this match.

They’re shameless. They probably don’t even know we played tonight.

There was a closer slow motion shot of their keeper not having it in his hands when Moran nicked it from him. Keeper didn't even try, he got sloppy and was waiting for it to go in his hands. The same ref has given that keeper the benefit of the doubt in the last two games against us. And he was allowing it at first till the linesman got involved, who was awful all match.

Genuinely think this whenever I watch Match of the Day.

We go up and we get Balaji flying back into Ewood, an aged Ronaldinho staggering behind him, off his private jet, bottle of curaçao in hand and a letter from Madame sanctioning “four leased players.”

We’d break the Derby lowest points total record, nailed-on, especially with the administrators we have in charge.
