Popular Post We Are The Rovers Posted November 27, 2023 Popular Post Posted November 27, 2023 Our home fixture against Watford on December 23rd will see the second Fan Takeover day. Following on from the success of the pre season fixture against Girona a number of supporter groups/organisations will be working with the club to bring you a Blue and White Christmas. We think that with the great value of the ticket offering we can help attract a bumper crowd and that Rovers fans from far and wide will come and cheer the team on. We hope those supporters who will be back in Lancashire for the festive period will come along, or why not gift a ticket as an early Christmas present to a friend or family member who hasn’t been to Ewood in a while? We’d like to see everyone in their colours, and the theme of the day is Blue and White Christmas. We Are The Rovers will be unveiling some new crowd banners we hope will become a fixture at home and away games going forward - please bring your banners and flags and get behind the boys! As well as the usual match day offerings there will be festive food and drink choices and offers on the concourse. We will be joined by other fan groups, including our good friends at BRFCS and 4,000 holes, Her Game Too, Proud Rovers and Rovers SAS in the fanzone prior to the game. We’ll have some festive gifts to give away and some activities planned. We’ll also be selling gift membership packs for anyone in need of a last minute present for the discerning Rovers fan. There’ll be plenty of updates between now and then so keep your eyes peeled here and on our new look website for that, as well as some exclusive fan driven content from BRFCS, the 4000 Holes podcast and Rovers Chat in the build up. 24 Quote

only2garners Posted November 27, 2023 Posted November 27, 2023 Excellent pricing but I should point out the meaning of the asterisk against adult prices. The price will actually be £11 per adult with the extra £ going to the Community Trust. Still great value and a worthy cause for a small amount. 2 Quote
Herbie6590 Posted November 27, 2023 Posted November 27, 2023 Front page article on here now live - ALSO with details of our Christmas Appeal. Because we collectively raised funds so amazingly before the Girona game to buy tickets for kids who otherwise wouldn't be able to go, we are working closely with Blackburn Rovers Community Trust this time, to support their amazing programmes over Christmas, including buying tickets for this game. We fully appreciate that times are hard and money is tight but if you can help & would like to, please read about the great work BRCT undertake & help us to help them... https://www.brfcs.com/magazine/articles/fan-takeover-2-a-mega-deal-for-the-watford-game/467 3 Quote
Mattyblue Posted November 27, 2023 Posted November 27, 2023 Great stuff from all involved. Saturday 3pm with a potential big floating support to tap into as it’s Christmas weekend. Finally, finally the club does it for a game that makes sense instead of ridiculous choices like Reading on a red button random Tuesday night. Hallelujah 🙌 (Just shows what happens when fans get involved in the decision making ay!) 7 Quote
arbitro Posted November 27, 2023 Posted November 27, 2023 It's a great initiative as the Girona match was. It's incumbent on all Rovers fans to plug this and drum up support and show the powers that be what Ewood could be like if the price was right. 7 Quote
lraC Posted November 27, 2023 Posted November 27, 2023 Terrific this and a great opportunity to show the decision makers at the club, that they have the pricing wrong. Get the match day and season ticket prices right and we will get supporters back. 2 Quote
tomphil Posted November 27, 2023 Posted November 27, 2023 Credit where it is due to all concerned and the club for allowing it, great effort and perfect time of year to do it. Brilliant way to start the Christmas Hols and before a big night of Boxing as well ! Bumper crowd guaranteed. Those chirping up all over the place that it should be a sell out in home sections need to calm down though and get a bit more realistic. A 20K gate would be brilliant. 3 Quote
Mattyblue Posted November 27, 2023 Posted November 27, 2023 (edited) Aye, c20k gate considering Watford won’t fetch many would be excellent. Unfortunately such chirpers (usually very vocal on social media) just don’t understand that with only 9k ST holders you just aren’t going to get ‘sell outs’. 20,000 walk ons aren’t suddenly going to come out the woodwork for a mid season second division game, Christmas or not. Price STs at a sensible level if you want to see close to a ‘sell out’ for an initiative like this. Edited November 27, 2023 by Mattyblue 2 Quote
wilsdenrover Posted November 27, 2023 Posted November 27, 2023 I wish I could make it but my other half will need the car for work that day. Quote
Andy Posted November 27, 2023 Posted November 27, 2023 I like this a lot - me and my little lads will be there, 100%. I really liked the activities and the 'outside of the ground' stuff at the Girona match, really felt like a proper effort and atmosphere. Would be great to get above 20k. 6 Quote
Tyrone Shoelaces Posted November 27, 2023 Posted November 27, 2023 The three generations of my family will be there. 6 Quote

We’ll be doing something similar again this time. Got a few little freebies for the kids and the grown ups so get down early! 4 Quote
Upside Down Posted November 27, 2023 Posted November 27, 2023 It's a brilliant opportunity to show what can be done by putting in effort and using brain power. I'm sure it will be a roaring success. A great opportunity. 2 Quote
norwichblue Posted November 28, 2023 Posted November 28, 2023 (edited) I’ll be home for Christmas and three generations in my family will be there. My dad, myself and my son (3yo) will be making his first visit to Ewood Park. Can’t wait. I reckon a decent amount of fans who live outside of Lancashire will be back home for the holidays and attending the match. Great work all involved. (Also, my son has never seen the Rovers lose - 2/2 winning visits to Carrow Road so far) Edited November 28, 2023 by norwichblue 6 Quote

Oops, I thought for some reason it was on the 27th, now I see it’s the 23rd so we’ll be there after all ! Hurray ! Edited November 28, 2023 by Tyrone Shoelaces 3 Quote
norwichblue Posted November 28, 2023 Posted November 28, 2023 Just now, Tyrone Shoelaces said: I spoke too soon. Hamilton is a brilliant show though if it’s any consolation. 2 Quote

Hamilton, what a show, seeing it in February, saw it on Broadway earlier this year with a rather enthusiastic (drunk) Chicagoan woman next to me, too many Hamiltini's! As for the match, I can't wait to see more people on the ground and meet some more forum members. Plenty still going on behind the scenes also, so plenty to be excited about. Quote
