tomphil Posted December 20, 2023 Posted December 20, 2023 Venkys should have saved us from relegation by bringing Mowbray in a month sooner and giving him a window. It might have cost a million to save losses of around 6 million from relegation. It's on them as is not investing whilst in the thick of the automatic spots twice in the last 2 years and now as we all predicted those chances are long gone. All those scenarios are on them. 6 Quote

I agree with that. MW had a mountain of a task to keep us in the league. He nearly did but yeah a month earlier and he may well have achieved it, Only losing 3 games out of the 15 shows how much he needed to turn it around. Quote
Mattyblue Posted December 21, 2023 Posted December 21, 2023 (edited) He probably drew a few too many, but to be expected with inheriting a poor, unfit squad lacking in confidence. However, a bit more time for him instead of having to pick up the pieces from that clownshoe in almost March and he’d have done it. Obviously should never have been appointed in the first place but if they’d have sacked him post that debacle at Barnsley on Boxing Day when he got dogs abuse from the away following we’d have stayed up comfortably.
