Miller11 Posted December 12, 2023 Posted December 12, 2023 If you’re heading down to Ewood tonight you can help make sure a child who might not otherwise, receives a present this Christmas. Soft toys, footballs, caps, clothing, toys and memorabilia will all be gratefully received. The Community Trust are doing some great work feeding kids who might otherwise be going hungry during the school holidays, hopefully we can put a smile on their faces on Christmas morning. 2 Quote

WacoRover Posted December 12, 2023 Posted December 12, 2023 With 18 points from our last 10 games, we’re not that pitiful. We only had 10 from our first 10 games. And, despite getting shut out by Leeds, Rovers have scored 12 goals in the last six. Ive nearly given up any hope of playoffs this season. But, we are really due a strong showing at Ewood. Szmodics has 7 goals in our last six, I favor a Sammy goal, with Wharton winning this one, 2-1. 2 Quote
arbitro Posted December 12, 2023 Posted December 12, 2023 I'm happy to see that Nakhi Wells is out for them. He always seems to excel against us. 7 Quote

windymiller7 Posted December 12, 2023 Posted December 12, 2023 Just noticed this on the SS website, don't know if anyone's posted elsewhere - interview with Sammie: https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11095/13023294/sammie-szmodics-interview-blackburn-star-on-his-championship-purple-patch-leadership-role-and-promotion-hopes 1 Quote
martonrover Posted December 12, 2023 Posted December 12, 2023 Well at least the empty seats will include those in the Darwen End this evening. We can only hope the flat track bullies ride this evening, to lift what is sure to be a morgue like atmosphere, (bar the usual Burnley based chants). Quote

davulsukur Posted December 12, 2023 Posted December 12, 2023 Obviously it's a good thing on the one hand but on the other,we are now celebrating more academy players filling out the bench because the squad is so thin/decimated. Quote

Mercer Posted December 12, 2023 Posted December 12, 2023 Good luck Rory! Hope we go 3 up and the lad gets 5 minutes and nets a goal. Would be a wonderful night! Quote
bazza Posted December 12, 2023 Posted December 12, 2023 Can't find Finneran in the youth squads on Rovers' site. Quote

Been a few articles about him, tipped as a top future player. Got way more press than Ash Phillips or Adam Wharton did at their age I think, or thats my impression at least. Seems to be physically way ahead of a typical 15 year old. https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2023/june/30/finneran-shines-for-club-and-country/ 1 Quote
