lraC Posted January 20, 2024 Posted January 20, 2024 It’s got that feel, where we huff and puff and they do us on the break. I hope I’m wrong but see us losing this. We are a very hard watch just now. 6 Quote
BigBar Posted January 20, 2024 Posted January 20, 2024 Still think we grind this out but it's been far from impressive. Players don't seem in sync with the manager, all very disjointed. Hard to watch. Quote
yankfan Posted January 20, 2024 Posted January 20, 2024 We’ve played more crosses in today than the rest of the season combined. Either we’ve forgotten how poor Gally is in the air or we’ve seen him banging them in against our even worse in the air back line in training 3 Quote

CambridgeRover Posted January 20, 2024 Posted January 20, 2024 Now comes the point where they make subs, we dont and they use that energy to score. Quote
Old Codger Posted January 20, 2024 Posted January 20, 2024 Not impressed with Chrisene. Slow and ponderous. No vision, and not able to cross. 1 Quote

Weve got a bench with some options so im hoping we use them. JRC, Sigurdsson definitely. Maybe Ayeri for Tronstad who has a yellow Quote

yankfan Posted January 20, 2024 Posted January 20, 2024 No idea how we’re going to get in behind. Szmodics playing higher up isn’t finding space to run in, 5 defenders and 3 defensive minded midfielders. Seems a lot of Wharton, Garrett and Trondstad all checking into the same space deep in midfield. If we’re going to score we will need an attacking player or 2 on Quote

booth Posted January 20, 2024 Posted January 20, 2024 Pickering's hamstring's gone. Two defenders down in one game. 1 Quote
West Yorks Rover Posted January 20, 2024 Posted January 20, 2024 Pickering injured, hamstring ? Quote
yankfan Posted January 20, 2024 Posted January 20, 2024 Just when we start to get healthy, Pickering added to Carter with a hamstring. Chrisene to left back. Siggy on. Quote
WacoRover Posted January 20, 2024 Posted January 20, 2024 Glass half-full: We’ve gone 37 min without the opposition scoring 😆 2 Quote
Cherry Blue Posted January 20, 2024 Posted January 20, 2024 Got to look at training methods. Leaving gally on this late is asking for trouble. 2 Quote
SuperBrfc Posted January 20, 2024 Posted January 20, 2024 I don't think Chrisene has managed to put a cross in yet. Every attempt has hit a Huddersfield defender. Not impressed, but we really can't expect much from such loan signings, imo. Pickering's game is over. Hamstring. Quote
joey_big_nose Posted January 20, 2024 Posted January 20, 2024 Christ Pickering off now. We don't seem to be playing. Hmmm not sure id go to a back four. Quote

This is so typical of following Rovers these days. Good start, 1 up, lots of players back and you become foolishly tempted into thinking maybe we can reignite our season. Then an injury, a goal conceded, penalty appeal waved away and another injury. Both injuries looking bad. Couldn't write it. Quote
OldEwoodBlue Posted January 20, 2024 Posted January 20, 2024 Play big striker down the middle. Don't cross the ball all afternoon. Genius 3 Quote
yankfan Posted January 20, 2024 Posted January 20, 2024 Hate to see the injury but it forced the changes JDT likely needed to make tiger a result here Quote
