To my knowledge, in all the years of anti Venky chants (not that they have happened often) there has never been racism involved. Their race has never been the issue. You don't need any of us to tell you that.

Just remember who planted that particular seed before the media...about Rovers fans having a 'dark agenda' or whatever term that scumbag used.

You probably recall, as I suspect most people do (probably the odd one doesn’t’) that the fans were accused of being racist, by a certain individual, who got access to the media and ensured, that we did not get the right to reply. The same person, also cried on TV after the same nasty fans, drove his son, out of the club, without giving him, the chance to showcase his talent, because after all he was good enough to secure a premier league players contract and was good enough to play for any premier league team, outside of the top five. 

That same person, also made phone calls to one of the posters on here, that were totally unsolicited and that fellow poster was threatened, followed around the ground,his pregnant  wife was assaulted and he was offered hush money.

He did go to the police too, again, as many on here will recall, although some, seem to be blissfully unaware, of these things.

We don't yet know precisely how this is going to work. All rather vague at the moment I know but getting concerned supporters in the room cannot be a bad thing - with a statutory process in place the authorities will expect supporters to make use of it if they have concerns.

There are already moves afoot by the top clubs and people in the HOL for the Independent Regulator to be scrapped or at the very least to have any proposed power scaled down. It was included in the Kings Speech in June and as yet nothing has happened.

There is the usual political spin being made, but the real agenda, is not to sort this out, but more akin to votes being secured.

The mechanics are yet to be disclosed so I would need to be a clairvoyant to have an idea what they are. Anarchy has not worked at Reading so why anybody would think it would work here puzzles me especially when a due process is being put in place.

It's pre-planning. Get the concerned supporters ready to roll for when the fans group is put in place.

Yes, all true. The racism angle started and was spread from one camp. I have seen it implied once more not long ago, indirectly, by a person on twitter who is connected to said camp.

It was a year or two ago when anger was building towards Venky's on here and there were protest ideas being discussed. It might have been when this thread started.

Anyway, the twitter coward put out something like "unconscious racism, that's what it is". No context, no explanation given. Random tweet. I believe it was a response to the discussion on here at the time, as he has been known to read this forum.

The carbed one suddenly hinting at racist chants being a concern for him is certainly odd and raises eyebrows.

There are Rovers fans out there that are against protests and want to try other routes. I have never seen/heard them mention that as being a reason though.

Also, this "wait until the Regulator is in place" advice, feels very much like the "jam tomorrow" scenario that we have seen under this hierarchy time and again. A scenario which never arrives, but keeps the fans waiting.

Okay, Folks- a call to arms. 

I’m proposing that every social media message that gets posted by the club now, is replied to with the Venky’s & Waggot Out imagine below.

It’s nothing major, BUT it’s a start to getting a proper protest movement up and running again. Full credit to whoever came up with the image too, as it’s not mine.

The more visible this becomes, the more people will start to believe that we can remove these set of muppets ruining our club.

I doubt there’s anything the fans can do to get rid of these owners. They’ll go when they’re ready to go. At some point they’ll either just get fed up or maybe someone will approach them with the right bid at the right time. We had protests against Steve Kean when stewards were in the crowd fighting with our fans. It made no difference. Kean didn’t get sacked and the owners didn’t change anything.
 

As for fans protests? 15 years of this crap have taken the heart out of them IMO. The small number of ST holders don’t speak with one voice. Some are pulling their hair out at what’s going on while others are just happy to keep going down to the games whatever the situation.
