Venky’s & Waggott Out Protest Ideas

Well, that may be true if they are that stubborn to keep hold of a football club they have not shown any interest in for 10+ years. Otherwise we may just hope that the new Football Governance Bill is quickly passed in Parliament and that the IFR finds the owners unfit, subsequently forcing them to sell up. But with all the current amendments proposed to the bill, that might take years before it gets passed and implemented.

This football Governance Bill will take years to come into force and IFR won't have the powers to removed Venkys.

Venkys are running the club effective and as business

Yes we all agree with how they are running and the decisions made by the owners and people appointed in key off the field roles. no engagement with the fans and lack of communication to the fanbase being a massive issue.

Obviously on the back of the WATR statement, the club are now well aware of their feelings and are also aware of their fantastic organisational skills to bring together the two fans take over day.

Based on this and focusing on the Trust organising it, what about a Venkys out match.

Instead of boycotting, why don’t we aim to do the opposite and maybe get some crowd funding going to fund some tickets for the vulnerable and needy in the area.

Choose a match, get a DJ set up and some other stalls outside of the ground, maybe get some sponsorship and a bit of free food.

Let’s see if we can raise £10k for staters, then select the match and get it publicised. Maybe even split any funds raised with a local kids charity.

I will pledge £100 for starters, so if someone from the trust will open the crowd funding page, I will pop that in

As an after thought, what about choosing the away game at Derby.

This is a great idea. I would also be happy to contribute £. A packed out protest game would be great. Derby away especially-so as media attention will be high. Banners, flags and a lot of noise. I’m also think the Derby fans would get involved to be honest (basing that purely on the sympathy received on the Championship sub Reddit) - they’ve been through a bad one too and know how it feels.

Can we get the Derby fans on our side and join in?? They don't have to disrupt their fame just aid banners etc

Be careful with this

The Club will be able to attend now. You won’t be any of the wiser who. They’ll simply leave their camera off and listen in

It’s been set up so that cameras have to be on. A warning will be given out prior to the meeting being opened up to the attendees too, regarding libel etc. 👍

My view would be to get as many supporters as possible (good time for the abstainers to attend) in the ground, at the next home game and all chant “Venkies out” for the entire game. That would be difficult to ignore and would get media attention.
Sadly there are still too many deluding themselves that we won’t survive without the Venkies. 😡

Worst thing about venkys is when they bought us, if they just left the club alone and vanished let john Williams run it we’d be fine. But they kept listening to that snake oil salesman Anderson and we fell apart

Not buying this "badly advised" bullshit.

They've had 15 years to rectify that and have just carried on doing the same thing the whole time.

Everything that's happened is directly down to their deliberate actions and orders. Suhail runs the show for them as their lap dog. He doesn't wipe his arse without their permission.

A win last night, fifth in the league, Eustace is a ‘snake’ according to much of the fanbase, so we can wave goodbye to any match day dissent (NO1 singing the ‘I don’t care about Venky’s chant, aside).

So, it has to be the social media etc campaigns if we want any traction.

Perhaps if a protest was based on “X in” it might work better.

Obviously that means finding someone who could entertain those sort of costs, but it would be much easier to get behind.

I think the opposite. I doubt they've got a clue what's going on half the time. I think him and Waggott have more or less carte blanche to cause carnage as long as they stay within budget.

Either way it's not good.
