Popular Post Neal Posted March 15 Popular Post Posted March 15 (edited) There's nothing that can be done. The protests have already been done, they don't and won't make a difference. All you'll experience is anger, frustration and disappointment... Trust me, I've been there and I've done it all. Mass exodus is the only way. Don't hand over your cash. Make it harder for them to run the club. They're trying to make it as self sufficient as possible, if they're not willing to put money in, then neither should you. The most simple and effective protest is to simply do nothing. Don't go. Walk away, until they fuck off. Oh... And don't kid yourself with this, I support the team through thick and thin nonsense because it's time for a reality check... These players don't give a flying fuck about Blackburn Rovers. They're here because we pay them the most, it's a job and nothing more. They're mercenaries and will all be looking for the exit as soon as they possibly can whilst the ship is sinking, like rats. This isn't the club we fell in love with. This is a soulless, passionless, shell of a club that only delivers disappointment. No optimism, no hope and therefore no point in turning up season after season to have the piss taken out of you and treated like shit. At some point you have to say enough or you open up wide and eat more shit. Your choice. Rovers till we die. Edited March 15 by Neal 29 Quote

Disrupting play, club fines, banned home support screams more attention to me and a better way of losing money. Quote

I've seen some of the recent protests done and compared to the early days of their ownership, they're absolutely worlds apart. Most of those hardcore protestors realised that walking away is the simplest form of protest and that the sheer amount of time and organisation it takes to get a protest going just isn't worth it. Listen, good luck to anyone willing to step up. They have my respect, I'm just trying to pass on my knowledge and experiences so people don't further waste their time, get themselves needlessly in trouble all for nothing but pain, anger and disappointment. These people see us all as peasants, beneath them, disposable, scum... DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY. 6 Quote
roverandout Posted March 15 Posted March 15 (edited) Why bother talking about it. Most fans don't give a shit. There will be no protests. As long as rovers exists then fans will happily go along and not utter a word Edited March 16 by roverandout Quote
47er Posted March 15 Posted March 15 I've always said the best way to make our point would be for NO-ONE to turn up. The way we are going we'll achieve this by natural progression at some point! But in the meantime could WATR (or anyone else) organise a smaller boycott so that fans stay outside the stadium for the first ten minutes of the game? Then all pour in chanting Venkys Out? TV cameras would capture an almost empty and silent stadium (I know!) and then hostile fans entering en masse(relatively!) Worth a try? 5 Quote

Any in ground protest has to stop the game or get it called off. That's the only way any attention will be brought to the situation. If a game cannot be completed at Ewood park then that'll get some attention. Anything else is pointless. So, if you're not prepared to cause actual disruption to the match then just don't go. 1 Quote
Backroom Popular Post Madon Posted March 15 Backroom Popular Post Posted March 15 Stand up if you hate Venkys rang around Ewood this afternoon and all around me in the BBE there were people chirping up with comments such as "bloody morons, who else is going to stump up 20m a year to keep us afloat". This is the issue we have, half the fan base don't have a bloody clue. Also, not one single chant today was directed at Pasha, he should be the target even more than Waggot. Time to make him squirm. 14 Quote

Possibly true but we both know our fans won't go that far. I'm trying to be realistic. Quote

Next time fans query the 'Venkys Out' chants, remind them we were in the top 10 in the Premier League, when they took over has custodians of the club.. Nothing more to be said! 5 Quote

The only way to absolutely know whether there are buyers out there is to put the Club up for sale and await the response! There seems to be no end of billionaires willing to chuck money at English football--why would we be less attractive than Wrexham for example? I'm sure that the challenge of saving one of the World's oldest football clubs would attract somebody, not to mention any individual or group who has affection for the Club. The problems dealing with Venkys would be the only potential barrier to a sale. It would be prolonged and messy because Venkys don't give a shit. 1 Quote
Neal Posted March 16 Posted March 16 (edited) Just simply ask yourself... Which do you think Waggot and Pasha would shit themselves the most from?... A few banners, chants and angry voices... They could just choose not to turn up for the game. OR If a well run campaign encouraging people to not renew started getting support? Edited March 16 by Neal 1 Quote

How about a few people manning the gates before fans go up the steps from the concourse asking people to participate in a protest by not going up for the first 10 minutes Quote

... Posted March 16 Posted March 16 We need more of this. More of this gets the message across to those that don't know. We even had fans walking through the town centre on a Saturday. How else do we educate the masses. Can't rely on people to work it out by themselves because there's those that just won't get it at all. It needs spelling out for them. 3 Quote
... Posted March 16 Posted March 16 Wonder if the houses around Ewood Park would participate in putting Venkys Out signs in their windows? Quote
Mattyblue Posted March 16 Posted March 16 Nobody has explained to me why a big drop in ST sales would lead to anything? c20k when they bought us, 6,995 in 21/22, and what? We sell 695 this summer, and what? 1 Quote

He must know now the carpet is nowhere near big enough to brush this summers shit storm under. Quote
