Just tuned in to hear ‘TK’ saying Waggott’s doing a great job, nobody would ever buy us, and we can’t afford to buy players, if we do we’ll go bust… and he wasn’t called out on a single opinion, all very strange.

At least Bumble and the lad in Beirut then came on to truly reflect the feeling of the wider fan base, enough is enough.

I haven't watched it yet but have seen the general reaction so doubt I'll be impressed.

But that image of those three sat like that in the historic boardroom of Ewood Park is enough to knock me sick. What a total mess. They should not be occupying that boardroom and are sat there looking like hostages.

This is the sort of image that should be used to show what an unprofessional joke this club is these days.

Odd change of attitude tbh

Brilliant 😆

I loved the quote “I work with companies and projects with values into the millions, so understand why Waggott would be seen as doing a good job for Rovers.

Then minutes later “Well I’m not an expert”

Yes, I’ve had to turn it off 😡

In a year or two  it’ll only be numpties like him who attend.

I went on a bit after and called him out. Fella was talking bollocks and running the club down, even said Burnley were bigger now 🤣

Complete fool.

Just got round to watching this. It's like something out of Phoenix Nights, except none of us are laughing.

So much bullshit within that 30 minute interview.

Just a few points I want to mention from my perspective:

1) We've all been told that Pasha is the conduit to the owners. He's the one who has direct contact with the owners, supposedly.

Well, have a look at 4:46 of the Yardley interview. He asks Pasha "are the owners aware of the current feeling around the football club and what is their reaction to this"?

Pasha: I'm sure they...like Steve said...they must definitely be disappointed with the whole situation".

I think that is a bullshit, wishy washy response. Why is he attempting to bring Steve in to validate his answer? You, as the link man, would know better than Steve. No?

His answer isn't definitive, he's assuming they are disappointed. "They must be". IMO, he hasn't discussed it with them at all and that response is a guess, followed up by a claim of how important their funding is for us. The same old script!

2) At 11:50 of the video they are asked about Eustace leaving. When Yardley asks Gestede "who was choosing the players who came in, in January (2025)?".

Look at Pasha's nervous response to that question and his body language. Watch the eyes, the shake of the head and the fidgeting.

Memories of somebody providing a list of players for Big Sam to choose from, only to be told to f@£k off, are being refreshed in my mind.

3) At 17:55 Waggott was asked "why Valerian". He states that he impressed him, Suhail, Rudy and Adam (Owen). Those three were "on it" according to Waggott and Ismael was appointed based on exceeding data targets and due to his CV.

Waggott also mentions earlier on that Adam Owen is head of technical and is working alongside the manager in implementing the style of play the club wants (what style?). It sounds like Owen plays a big role backstage.

Unrelated, but the three of them, Pasha, Rudy, Owen, all have links relatable with Steve Kean, even if purely coincidental.

Pasha (Kentaro), Rudy played under Kean two years ago, Owen and Kean were at Hibs together at the same time, albeit in different roles. Both left Hibs in 2023.

4) 18:30-19:00. Those 30 seconds tell me why we will never achieve anything under this hierarchy. Gestede talks about a record we had of 2-000 minutes played by Academy players.

This was reduced under Eustace and now Rudy and the club want to bring that back and improve on it by giving 3,000 minutes to Academy players.

How about f&£king try to win us promotion instead? Who gives a shit how many minutes Academy players get. That on its own is meaningless.

If it doesn't lead us to promotion, it's a total waste of time trying to create some empty record by giving kids some minutes.

The cream will naturally rise, I have no issue with that. Why would I? But these bastards are pretending to be about player development, when the truth is it's the cheap route and they don't want to ask the owners to spend.

Big thanks to Glen and all for their efforts to date.

The whole lot of these bullshitters need to go in order for Rovers to rise again. We will get our club back. It's coming. You can feel it.

Excellent post.

It is when those few academy graduates who actually go on to be decent players for us will either:

a) Be sold at a significant undervalue to pay bills - Adam Wharton

b) Be driven out of the club by running their contracts down - example Lewis Travis, among others

It is a made-up metric that they continue to think is a measure of success. It might be for the academy coaches but for the overall management of the club the only thing they should be worried about is wins on the pitch and first team performance.

What a disgusting interview that was from the three charlatans. Constant lies and twisting of facts.

Pasha - "Owners have no restriction when it comes to remitting funds overseas".

Where has the money gone then for the past 15 months? Or has it all been spent covering operational costs together with transfer funds received from the sales of Wharton and Szmodics?

Waggott - "We did our due diligence and thorough search in finding a replacement for Eustace."

Really? It took you 4-5 weeks to source a replacement who wants to play possession-based, high-pressing football with focus on youth development? I would argue that this kind of mindset/philosophy is rather common among managers/ head coaches nowadays. Not only that, but this kind of approach (switch of tactical style mid-season) is also admitting that they were willing to throw this season away in order to start a new "project".

Waggott - "There will be funds available in the summer"

Why weren't those funds spent this winter transfer window in that case? Signing three players on loan, two on a free, and one player (Kargbo) for less than a million pound is not "significant investment" in any way, shape or form, especially when you're chasing a playoff-spot.

Gestede - "This is an exciting time for the club"

What's exciting about half the squad being out of contract in the summer?

Gestede - "We won't enter contract negotiations with players until we know which league we'll be playing in next season"

Really? How is this forward-planning? Is the new head coach onboard with this? Has he been given assurances which players will be offered new contracts or which player profiles the club will target in the summer? Since Eustace left mostly because of lack of clarity in this department, I strongly doubt there will be any renewals apart from a few who might be on low wages already. The likes of Travis, Tronstad and Brittain will certainly be looking at other options in the summer.

Club is absolutely done under these owners. Reluctant to sell, reluctant to spend and reluctant to get promoted. Only hope is that they fail to pay out wages at some point, EFL subsequently disqualifies them in an Owners' & Directors' Test (just like what happened to Reading FC recently) and that the club manage to find a new owner before any sanctions/penalties are imposed.

He's a recruitment's consultant who's been a director of a few small companies that got struck off before their first set of annual accounts were filed. Thinks he's a big shot businessman who can see what no one else can see as if the rest of us are unskilled workers who've never seen a set of accounts or a big business.

Someone should point out that if we got promoted and no longer wanted some of the players we could perhaps sell them to a championship club rather than let them go on a free.

We are probably one of only about 5-6 at most in the Championship who do know what League we are going to be in.

That is a tired old excuse that they come out with pretty much every year to blame for a lack of activity, forward planning, season tickets etc.

Their approach to January and mismanagement ensured that a sustained play-off push under Eustace was doomed to fail - they chose that route.

Not even Ismael's woeful performance so far is enough to drag us into the relegation equation, unfortunately for them Eustace secured too many points in December. Nearly managed it last year though.

It's just excuse after excuse. Waggott's favourite is to make out as those the shenanigans at Ewood are all normal part and parcel of life. He knows that the morons on Facebook, Twitter and the Venkygraph will fall for this every time.

I’m sure Friday night will be “lively”, (and therapeutic),  but thereafter, short of getting a match suspended or abandoned, I’m afraid I still believe the only other avenue that will have any effect is “not a penny more”.

Do people really believe that wearing a different coloured scarf, a protest T shirt, or holding up some cards is actually going to achieve anything?

Even if you are going with the intention of protesting, by purchasing a ticket you are helping to maintain the status quo.

I might be in the minority, but I don’t even really care about the club’s level of communication.

That wouldn’t really matter if it was being well run at the coalface , and with owners who cared.

As it is , the poor communication / blatant lies just add salt to the wounds.

Looking forward to Friday.

Well done to Glen and everyone else involved for their efforts in putting such great pressure on the hired goons.

Wow... Hearing them discuss the January window 37 minutes in they are all over the place. Like our transfer business and contract renewals. No wonder Eustace wanted out. It's a total shambles.

My big question was and still is, if there are no limitations for the owners providing funds then why are little to none being spent on permanent players?

Bayes asked some great questions and some of them are the exact questions a manager like O'Neil would have asked..... you'd leave a job interview with multiple headaches.

They are clearly being left to their own devices and consequently have no clear, approved and trustworthy vision.
