Tomphil2 Posted April 4 Posted April 4 I remember the mess around the Mahoney thing at the time and i think they could have signed re-signed him for a few quid more than the peanuts he was on but they seriously low balled him, then later Bournemouth came in. Shame really he was handy to have around the squad and they might have got a reasonable fee but he's just one in a long line of F ups by that clown. Quote

He actually name checks Suhail as the Rovers executive him and his agent were negotiating with. The man is poison. If they did a podcast with Junior Hoilett, do you think we'd get a similar story on the contract negotiations? Quote

StHelensRover Posted April 4 Posted April 4 Just listening to TalkSport 2 where they are doing the build-up to our game. It's clear, as you would expect, that they only really have half a story about Rovers and as a result they don't really get the issues and what is going on. One very bizarre assertion from Micky Gray is that he is adamant 'people' are talking about Wayne Rooney coming to Ewood Park in the summer. I promise I didn't make any of that up, go back and listen. Where would something bonkers like that have come from? And in whose interest would it be to leak rubbish like that? They've just gone to an ad-break promising to get into our "off the field issues" next... 😂 3 Quote
StHelensRover Posted April 4 Posted April 4 Tbf they've got Elliot Jackson on giving the real version events as opposed to the Waghail Saga 4 Quote
Ricky Posted April 4 Posted April 4 Listening to Gestede is painful. We are in a world of trouble with him at the helm. 8 Quote
Backroom Popular Post Tom Posted April 4 Backroom Popular Post Posted April 4 Well done going on SSN @glen9mullan but more so absolutely monumentally well done for you and others to get us back to a place where they’d give us air time. We’ve gone from dormant to #notdoneyet in the space of a week or so 15 Quote
Trinidad Rover Posted April 4 Posted April 4 So, so sad. No way back for Ismael after this. He is utterly unlikeable which doesn’t help his case. Toxic from top to bottom. Fans deserve so much better. Better days will come 9 Quote
Exiled_Rover Posted April 4 Posted April 4 (edited) This was my concern with the #expressyourself idea. The fans need direction - a few chants and a 3/4 empty stadium does not make a protest. The rest of the work so far has been great, but tonight has fallen flat. Edited April 4 by Exiled_Rover 1 Quote
dallydally Posted April 4 Posted April 4 Sadly haven't seen or heard any protests tonight. Looks like the fans have given up 1 Quote

Exiled_Rover Posted April 4 Posted April 4 What are the legalities around a sit in? Fans just not leaving the ground after a match (maybe the final home game of the season?)? Obviously I'm sure it's 'illegal', but 15k people staying in their seats to protest the regime would have some impact. Quote

Popular Post DuffsLeftPeg Posted April 4 Author Popular Post Posted April 4 Can we please stop the ruse now that we have any chance of making the play-offs? Anyone who’s watched the team since January knows its been over for a while. Let’s keep the pressure on, the only way forward is for the owners to sell the club. Every fan remaining with any fight left in them needs to get behind this cause. There will be no club left otherwise. Sorry to say but #ExpressYourself isn’t enough. I couldn’t make it tonight but only a few chants and banners heard on TV is not enough. Even after everything that’s happened, 6 losses out of 7, the worst form in the Championship in the last 20 games. If that’s all we can muster it’s pathetic. 14 Quote

They've strangled the life out of the fan base over the last 15 years. The task now is rousing them again - the protest leaders have a job on their hands. They've definitely made an excellent start, but I hope they're in it for the long haul. 9 Quote

Disagree, action is needed now, wait till the last game of the season it’ll be over before we know it then a 3 month break will break all momentum, fans clearly aren’t united, huff and puffs won’t do anything. Game stoppage is the way I’d go starting with the next home game vs Sheffield. Hey maybe they’d also be on board with the idea. 2 Quote
