Game stoppage is the way I’d go starting with the next home game vs Sheffield. Hey maybe they’d also be on board with the idea. There's a feedback thread on here - they're crying out for volunteers... 1 Quote

Forever Blue Posted April 4 Posted April 4 Just stop going to matches at Ewood. It’s the only protest left. 6 Quote
CambridgeRover Posted April 4 Posted April 4 The new generations of fans weren’t there tonight and next season the current generation of fans won’t be there 3 Quote

Venkys out chants were audible and clearly ringing around the ground from the first whistle. Express yourself was the right choice for this point in the fight to get our club back. It made an absolute mockery of Suhail trying to suggest it was just one fan group. Many fans would like to see more but you also get a decent proportion who don't like to feel as if they are being spoke for. The last thing we need is a divided fanbase. My feeling is that tonight was an extended hand for all fans to join the cause, which the majority did. We're aligned and that's a win in my eyes. Now it's onto the next phase. RTID 8 Quote
Mattyblue Posted April 4 Posted April 4 There’s been a massively impactful campaign the past week, tonight saw constant chants against the regime, next season will see a compete collapse in attendances. What ‘protests’ are people expecting above that? Lads with bedsheets? 1 Quote

RTID Jack walker upper was good at the start and very vocal but soon died down to any chants. I had one bloke shaking his head at me for chanting we want venkys out. Its not drunken finger pointing anymore it's real and some people can't accept it.if you wanna watch shite with no passion or joy every week and pay over the head for it carry on. I don't care if we lose 2-0 I don't care if we lose 10-0 just want a proper cohesive club top to bottom, run professionally, appointing the correct people for the long term goal. 9 Quote

What ‘protests’ are people expecting above that? Lads with bedsheets? We’ve had the same as tonight and more vs Plymouth in the stadium. It’s been a good start and I agree, a hugely impactful week but the pressure needs to be maintained and more. Hopefully Glen and co have more up their sleeve. Happy to help in any way I can, and I’ve already got a banner that’s better than a bedsheet! Quote

Anyone who’s watched the team since January knows its been over for a while. Let’s keep the pressure on, the only way forward is for the owners to sell the club. Every fan remaining with any fight left in them needs to get behind this cause. There will be no club left otherwise. Sorry to say but #ExpressYourself isn’t enough. I couldn’t make it tonight but only a few chants and banners heard on TV is not enough. Even after everything that’s happened, 6 losses out of 7, the worst form in the Championship in the last 20 games. If that’s all we can muster it’s pathetic. Can the fans form a wall around the ground to prevent the opposing team from entering the grounds? If the climate protesters can do it surely fans can do it. That’d make a statement of the match was canceled or delayed due to fans preventing the opposing teams coach from entering the park. 1 Quote

The half empty ground and conceding 2 in the first 10 minutes showed how much of a basket case we've become under these owners and board. 1 Quote
simongarnerisgod Posted April 4 Posted April 4 it`s the beginning of the end, where we start plunging down the leagues after this season,in the extremely unlikely case of rovers spending large amounts of money this summer it`s nailed on that we down next season, especially with key players obviously going to being sold this summer, expect the protests to get louder and more visable when it happens 1 Quote
Mattyblue Posted April 4 Posted April 4 (edited) They won’t as there will only be the absolute hardcore left, and the vast majority of those will want to ‘get behind the lads, as who else would buy us?’ The ‘protest’ next season will be the banks upon banks of empty seats when we have only c5,000 ST holders. Mattyblue Posted April 4 Posted April 4 No that will be around the figure they’ll say… how many will actually be paid for tickets and not freebies/comps is another issue… Quote

This evening illustrated that staying away is the only effective form of protest remaining. There are simply not enough people left in the ground to voice an effective protest. Don’t buy season tickets and don’t buy home match tickets. Not a penny more. 4 Quote

booth Posted April 4 Posted April 4 Cro magnon man with an ego as a CEO and we wonder why we fail. Get that chancer out of our club. Failed footballer, dubious agent (see Andy Cole's biography) and a failure of an executive at every club he's been at. Quote

Yep - we’re caught red handed turning it up for YNWA for Liverpool the other day. Besides, not a chance sky would be on supporters side for this. I remember they had a countdown clock like transfer deadline day next to Bolton and Bury badges when they were about to go bust - they couldn’t care. 2 Quote
JCRovers Posted April 4 Posted April 4 Tell supporters who wants to attend any of the remaining games of the season to bring inflatable snakes... #expressyourself As for myself, I'm done spending money on a club that I have supported for 30 years until new owners are in place. 15 years of this madness is a long enough time already. New owners, new board, new manager, new beginning. 1 Quote
Upside Down Posted April 4 Posted April 4 Express yourself by blowing a whistle throughout the whole match. If even a few hundred people did this it would cause absolute chaos and the game would be nigh on impossible to complete. Disruption to matches is the only protest that will get enough attention on the owners. If you're not prepared to do that then stop going. 6 Quote

The fans need direction - a few chants and a 3/4 empty stadium does not make a protest. The rest of the work so far has been great, but tonight has fallen flat. We haven't called a protest yet, The stadium was nearly empty, However rovers brought lots of police, stewards and even the RSPCA in at great expense, kind of going to the seaside and not realising the tides out. There was a lot of organic chants and a hell of a lot of banners taken by stewards, before the game. We need to to try and trust the process, this really is a game of cat and mouse and they are being absolutely hammered by the press. I'd say supporters are about 10 nil up at present, which given we'd of got the home crowd in one stand tonight ain't a bad position to be in. Every time they open the mouths they score an almighty own goal. Rudy Givesed interviews with SKY were Keanesque and delusional A few banners won't shift venkys and co. The reverse phycology is absolutely got these on egg shells. My Intel from inside, tells me they've spent a lot of man hours this past week just trying to deal with surge. I'm also reliably informed the Raos have gone bezerk. They thought the club was engaged and working with the supporters in a inclusive manner They choked on onion baji when their names etc went global this pass week. You don't need to break the law to win the mind games. I'm happy we chose not to call a protest as the numbers would of aided the club's narrative, as at best there was 5500 home fans who attended tonight. Being unpredictable will reap the fruits 32 Quote
Popular Post Neal Posted April 4 Popular Post Posted April 4 (edited) The club is dead to me under these people. I cannot support it anymore. What is there left to support? ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. I heard they were stopping banners coming into the ground. Stewards mixed in with fans to stop protests which makes it even easier to just simply stay away folks. Walk away folks. Empty the ground. There's nothing left. Come back when they're gone. NOT A PENNY MORE. Edited April 4 by Neal 22 Quote
