The end goal is to be rid of them and then hopefully get an ownership and executive that runs the club properly. This is something that all the money in the world does not make up for.

We are not consistently losing £20 million a year. Off the top of my head we have done so a handful of times. Usually it is several million less than that and the last few years will be nowhere near that thanks to player sales. Whatever the owners have put in over the last couple of years must be minimal when taking into account what they've brought in from sales.

We are also forgetting that promotion to the Premier League is the reason an investor would get into this and if achieved more than makes up for several years of funding Championship losses. We go into League One, which is a matter of time under this 'model' of management, the pool of potential buyers dries up considerably.

I can just see it now - the naysayers and those who have for some unknown reason convinced themselves that 'nobody would buy us' despite all available evidence suggesting that in all probability there would be interest - will watch us slide into the lower leagues under Venkys, shrivel up into a husk of a 3rd or 4th division club and then eventually far less people would be interested in buying so 'point proven'.

They are not owed £140 million. That is their tab for the last 15 years. Their bill that they have allowed to rack up.

A competent engaged owner would not need to find £20 million a year. Far less than that if they improve commercial and ticketing/income and manage player trading better rather than running our assets out of contract.

Does such a person exist? Birmingham, Huddersfield, Wrexham, Hull, West Brom all say 'hi'.

The way out of this is that the owners go, and then we take it from there on the long road to recovery. It might not be quick or easy but ultimately is necessary for the long term health of the club.

Spot on:

The profit and loss account just before the takeover (June ‘10 accounts) stood at - £108,574,131.

This figure is now (June ‘24 accounts) £317,653.881 so an increase of £209,797,750 for an average of around £15 million a year.

How dumb are people? Being at a football match is your own time. People are paying to be there!

It had clearly reached a point where they were unable to sell a good manager the club, the project, themselves or the owners who they likely hadn't heard from for 10 months...

The answer to every question a manager would be interested in hearing was on the back burner.

  • Budget
  • New Contracts
  • Club goals
  • Club structure
  • Meetings with the ownership
  • Promotion
  • Scouting
  • Facilities

I'd imagine even the salary involved was unclear.

What I am certain about from the Bayes interview is that we have 3 people in charge who are incompetent and totally disingenuous.

"Thanks for your time... I think I'll hold off and see what else is around". Even if that means Derby. Like John did.

Good to hear Adam Catterall venting his spleen on TalkSport last night just after the game.

Must have had a rant for a good 10 minutes explaining to his colleague exactly what's gone on in the last 15 years under this lot.

Nice one Adam

Cat is good people.

Funny how Glen Mullan, spotted on Thursday, meeting Waggott privately, yet has his happy clapping crew protesting. See his Twitter account. Not a peep about Waggott. Don’t be fooled by who is leading this.

Why has Mullan not come out anywhere saying he attended this meeting with Waggott???

And now his latest tweet, knowing all the ins and outs of Waggot’s salary, as though he is the man doing the payroll.

Unbelievable how our own fans can’t see it, right under their noses.

Isn't his salary published in the accounts? (Could be wrong there)

So what’s your point, Glen is in Swag’s pocket?

Why has Mullan not said a peep about this private meeting with Waggott?

Why is he saying nothing about Waggott in his tweets?

I don’t know the ins and outs, but this stinks of division being created by 2 men, one of which is our CEO.

See his latest tweet, talking about deferred pension. That isn’t disclosed in the accounts. Clearly backing Waggott up. Another tweet where he said Waggott would do a good job if his hands were untied.

He’s not said a single word about Waggott being the problem.

Also not a single word why he had a private meeting on Thursday night with Waggott. Why are the other fan groups not told about this??

The coalition know i spoke to Waggott , they also know the reason why

We've advised him that we are taking legal action over his comments linking video, statement and threats in his interview as if that were sent from the same person.

We discussed the transcript , he also advised he would pass onto his legal team.

Anything else you'd like to know 😏

But not a peep to the fans. So lack of communication, the same issue you accuse the club of and WATR??

Double standards.

You kept it hidden from the fans and claim to be for the fans. Why did you not disclose to us?
