Went to school with ‘Big Daddy Cat’s’ wife and her family have always been huge Rovers fan and think Steve was always involved with the Ewood Working men’s club protest group, glad to hear he got chance to air his views on the show as well

It just has to be obvious to anyone with even the remotest idea of how professional football clubs operate that surviving simply by bringing through youngsters, selling them and reinvesting none of that money into the squad cannot ever succeed. A club can’t survive like that never mind prosper.

Waggott and co deep down know it. So far none of them have the balls to face down the owners over it. Time for them to stand up for the overriding good of Blackburn Rovers FC. If they don’t, they deserve everything they get.

 

The hierarchy at Rovers have been good at just one thing since these clowns rocked up, dividing the fan base.

It's been bizarre over the last 15 years that we haven't been able to get a unified front as supporters. 

Glen and Co. deserve enormous credit for unifying the fan base a lot more than it has been for years. It's the only way we'll ever get anything to change at Rovers. 

It's too easy for the club to snuff out any dissenting voices when it's just a small group of fans when the majority of fans are also against them.

Feels like there has been a significant shift across the fan base this time. Some obvious (alleged) club/Venky plants have been popping up over the last few days but it seems more and more of the fanbase are aligning and starting to realise life under these bastards is actually a nightmare.

It’s understandable when they’re spending that kind of cash but still below relative local minnows Brentford, Fulham and Palace in the table. 

Speaking of Palace, in January 2024 the fans protested during a 5-0 loss at Arsenal. Since then they’ve gone from strength to strength proving than fan pressure does work.

Either that or because they signed the football god that is Adam Wharton from us 😞

I do take their point though - another club being run poorly and short changing the fans year after year. It’s just at a gargantuan level compared to clubs like Rovers in the Championship and below.

They need a new manager, not a new owner.

So many fans are ridiculously entitled.

Steve was actually on the same show. He called Adam later and put over some great points.

I think the key here now, is the suggestion that the owners have seen the press reports and were unaware of some of the stuff going on.

If the recent publicity can continue and keep making the international news, it could flush them out.

I believe talkSPORT are at Ewood on Tuesday and there are plans afoot to ensure they have some interesting items to report on.

It's only Blackburn Rovers fans in the entire football pyramid that aren't allowed to moan or protest.

The usual response is 'You won the Prem be thankful' or 'The owners invested 300 million so be grateful'.

For that we have to endure death by a thousand cuts for eternity and sit down and shut up.

I know he isn’t posting at the minute, but I have been told that he received a call from Waggott, threatening him with legal action if he carried on with his campaign.

Not too sure why it was Waggott rather than Pasha, but as most of us know, Pasha likes to blend into the background.

Hrishikesh Dabir - Assistant Data Scientist at Blackburn Rovers Football Club - joined as an intern a year ago, before becoming permanent in the summer

 

Edit - I think they are involved in player recruitment along with Asher Hines, as Adam Collins is in charge of player performance analysis

 

A quick check of linkedin shows that Rovers lost a few people from the data dept. this season

Jason Taylor moved to Boro 2 months ago

Owen Bullman moved to Huddersfield last month

Lewis Evans left in December - He was Rovers previous head of data scouting

You don’t have to bring anything. You don’t miss the game (it’s on the tvs) you can even have an extra pint. There’s nothing illegal about it. Just simple and gets a message accross, even the most tame of people could get behind that? Or even walk down in x minute or some thing?

 No longer enough people attending to make an effective protest within the stadium (see Friday).

For the number of people who would actually take part, it wouldn’t get noticed.

In reality there will be about 5,000 Rovers fans there on Tuesday.

The final two home games will at least have some semblance of a home crowd…

I said the same when I drove past earlier today.

They seemingly jet washed the area near to the away ticket office, but the rest of the stadium looks like the inside of a neglected fish tank.
