The nonsense Gestede has been spouting about budgets, recruitment, summer transfers and plans, all carbon copy of what has been said ahead of the last 3-4 summers.

They've shown what they are all about and this year will be no different.

They're going to come out with more and more of this stuff as they become increasingly desperate. Only the totally naive would believe them or give them the benefit of the doubt.

They're going to dismantle the foundations that served us so well under Eustace, slash the wage bill and then worry about the rest after that. Bored with it now.

Pasha also needs to be held to account for his claims about going to India and asking Venkys for 20 million to keep the club afloat and then begging for transfer fees on top of that.

The basic duty and expectation of the owner is to cover running costs every season, no questions. If you have to ask them then they are not fit to own, end of story. It's not a charity or good ownership to pay that money, its the job.

Good ownership is covering those costs and investing more money into the players, coaches, youth system, facilities etc.

Just another variation of Mowbray's "it isn't 1995 anymore". A way to make the club look like they are sensibly fighting against unchecked fan entitlement. The idea that anyone is expecting Venky's to invest at JW levels is of course absolute nonsense, but spin that narrative long enough and eventually the sizable uneducated portion of the media and the majority of the non-Rovers footballing community will accept it as a truth.

Good ownership is having a plan for short, medium and long term, employing the correct people in key roles and communicating that plan to your supporters, good commercial plan and Good ST plan that engage with supporters, understands Supporters financial situation and bring through the next generation of supporter
