DutchRover Posted yesterday at 07:00 Posted yesterday at 07:00 Gestede talking about how we won't have a budget of 15-20 million, and we won't reinvest all the money from player sales. No surprises there. Pathetic as usual to say "we aren't that club anymore". Why? We have FFP leeway and they can afford it if they want to? This is exactly why the fans are so angry at them, they just can't be bothered to fund the club properly, in player trading, maintenance, anything. 7 Quote

The nonsense Gestede has been spouting about budgets, recruitment, summer transfers and plans, all carbon copy of what has been said ahead of the last 3-4 summers. They've shown what they are all about and this year will be no different. They're going to come out with more and more of this stuff as they become increasingly desperate. Only the totally naive would believe them or give them the benefit of the doubt. They're going to dismantle the foundations that served us so well under Eustace, slash the wage bill and then worry about the rest after that. Bored with it now. 12 Quote

Would have been more fitting. The lack of ambition is a disgrace. Not fit to lace Uncle Jack's boots, this lot. 16 Quote
Popular Post DutchRover Posted yesterday at 07:46 Popular Post Posted yesterday at 07:46 Pasha also needs to be held to account for his claims about going to India and asking Venkys for 20 million to keep the club afloat and then begging for transfer fees on top of that. The basic duty and expectation of the owner is to cover running costs every season, no questions. If you have to ask them then they are not fit to own, end of story. It's not a charity or good ownership to pay that money, its the job. Good ownership is covering those costs and investing more money into the players, coaches, youth system, facilities etc. 15 Quote
Tomphil2 Posted yesterday at 07:48 Posted yesterday at 07:48 Why is he coming out with that crap anyway ? We haven't spent big money on a first team ready player since the signing of Rhodes 13 years ago so nobody remotely expects that. Clown. 8 Quote

JHRover Posted yesterday at 08:59 Posted yesterday at 08:59 Yep. Focus your attentions on Gestede, Ismael, players, recruitment, budgets, transfer targets, changes in the academy Don't focus your attentions on Venkys, curtain twitcher or Waggott Quote

Backroom DE. Posted yesterday at 11:04 Backroom Posted yesterday at 11:04 Just another variation of Mowbray's "it isn't 1995 anymore". A way to make the club look like they are sensibly fighting against unchecked fan entitlement. The idea that anyone is expecting Venky's to invest at JW levels is of course absolute nonsense, but spin that narrative long enough and eventually the sizable uneducated portion of the media and the majority of the non-Rovers footballing community will accept it as a truth. 7 Quote
