Just throwing ideas about but Harold Varner III is an American pro golfer for those who don't know and is a well known Rovers supporter (he was at a game at Ewood the other week)

On his own not wealthy enough to make a  move ("only" worth around £30m), but I'm sure he would have contacts in the USA rich enough to form a consortium.

We wouldn't be able to function - you need someone (or a consortium) who can find the funds to initially buy the thing (whatever nonsense value the Venkys put on it) and absorb tens of millions of pounds a year in losses whilst you got the club back on it's feet.

exeter and chesterfield are fan owned,both of them have come though bad times with terrible owners and stabilised,so it can work
