You would only get  fan base all on the same page if we were on a proper downward spiral (relegated) AND there was a viable and interested party going public about wanting to buy us.

But that second part is highly unlikely. Most people who buy clubs aren’t fans so why go to the impossible effort of trying to prise Rovers away when an Oxford or a Luton might become available far easier and cheaper.

I agree, Blackburn's richest family aren't interested, so what is left? I don't see anyone crawling out of the woodwork to say, yes we will buy them out. Would need someone/company of great wealth to say we'll give the tossers £200 million. It's just a slide down the leagues from what I can see.

That's very true, need to find someone credible, who is interested in buying the club. Even if they don't, it would put pressure on the owners, to make a decision, one way or the other.

I think, they are  financial irregularities involving certain people when they bought it .

I know mate. Just seems all the silent stuff we can't get enough  people involved hard to organise. And then the disruptive side no one wants to get involved

This.

A divided,impotent and apathetic fanbase.

This lot running our Club into the Ground are getting away with Murder.

Thing is, and myself included, when it's too late, and we are watching Rovers V Tamworth. We'll be wishing we did something now.

Time to act. Enough is Enough

The problem you have, which has been highlighted before, is that we've tried protesting. We got minimal support from Parliament, we were lambasted as racists by the rest of the football community and the press.

We've also tried fan delegations going over to speak to the owners and building up a rapport. Nothing has worked.

We're in a unique situation - no pressure the fans can put on the club will have an impact.

For whatever reason the owners do not give a shit about the club, but also don't seem to give much of a shit about throwing away millions of pounds on it either. Every other club people could mention the owners didn't want the public embarrassment / financial worry of owning a failing enterprise and were convinced to walk away. This lot seem impervious.

People talk about not renewing etc - we're down to 4k adult season ticket holders and home crowds of 12-13k. Most people have already walked away in disgust. Sure we can chip away again and lose another 1k or so, but they'll just close the Academy and let us limp on in to League 2 and beyond.

Whether it achieves anything or not, like many others, I will be voting with my feet next season.

It's just utterly futile.

Many will.

I'm one of three who won't be going next season. A few round me won't be returning next season either (they were distraught at losing to Cardiff, and these people have endured Celtic and City fans in the stand around them).

That may be the case (and has there been an organised effort since?), but there'd be ways to be disruptive. A Rovers protest at a cricket game in India would arguably have more impact than at a match at Ewood, which says more about Venkys than anything.

Are you willing to get thrown in an India jail for disrupting an IPL / Indian international match?

I know I'm certainly not.

And ultimately achieved nothing...

Yes but start of small. There's clearly a new wave of fans. Starting small will beg the question what is that scarf etc

The only thing that will achieve anything will be to cause enough disruption to get the games abandoned.

Packs of 10 whistles can be bought for £10-15. A whip round to buy a few packs of them and give them out to kids before the game.

If you're not prepared to take action to disrupt the matches but still want to protest then just don't go anymore.

The only thing that will get any attention is causing problems with them hosting matches at Ewood. If every week the game is disrupted or abandoned then that absolutely will draw a lot of unwanted attention in their direction.

This is the only thing that stands any chance of causing them any bother.

What growth potential do Oxford or Luton have?

ALK Capital, the company (investment group) that own Burnley, only have a net worth of £190m. Yes Pace runs that show on smoke and mirrors and it's a house of cards waiting to fall down, but it shows that you don't have to be a billionaire to make an impact.

We just want honest, committed owners who employ the best people they can to run our club.

By all accounts there have been multiple interested parties over the years, but the Venky's won't even entertain offers.

Is that the Issa brothers?

Aren't they both a bit shady (and apparently Manchester United fans)?

I imagine disrupting an Indian cricket match would be the equivalent of that buffoon that ran on the pitch a few week ago leaving everyone scratching their heads. They won't have a clue who we are lol

I said the same a decade ago... All you'll experience is the same old folk who blindly go down every week giving you shit for disrupting their game.

This is my protest. Passing on what I learned and trying to stop as much money flowing into their hands as possible.

None compared to Rovers.

But unlocking that potential isn’t worth the hassle of trying to get it off Venkys because, as you say, they won’t entertain it. You’d have to have really set your heart or mind on Rovers to pursue it.

A more casual potential owner would just wait for an easier acquisition to come up, even if they were like the named clubs above.

I said it earlier but if one of the better writers on here could pull together a 'football Joe' style engaging read highlighting the issues and some of the more comical bits I think that could do numbers on Reddit.

Between r/pune (200k viewers, today's top post has 320 votes) r/Indianfootball (230k viewers, today's top post has 420 votes), r/soccer (8.5m viewers, today's top post has 2.1k votes) and r/championship (113k viewers, today's top post has 194 votes) there's probably at least 500k people self declaring as the interested group.

Make it nice and easy for a lazy tabloid intern to lift and re post and it's more engagement than we will get anywhere else.

Slight edit, if we choose to do this - we'd need infographics or some sort of scrollable story.  Also a set time it's posted and fans who have set up Reddit accounts.  Upvote each one as much as possible within the first hour or so to drive the engagement up and get some natural boost once others see upvotes.

Those LT "fans" who ask "what better can we expect with gates of our size?" should have a look at what the likes of Bournemouth are achieving with the stadium full at 11000!

Started in India tonight.

Just an update on this- I had an issue with the original advert, which means I didn’t get it running until about an hour ago.

Anyway, I think we might be getting our message across over in Pune, India. Indian folk are liking the page and liking the post.
