Riverside pessimist Posted Sunday at 12:46 Posted Sunday at 12:46 I am too at the point of walking away after 30 years of support. I am willing to get behind any form of protest. However, I believe only way now and the most hard hitting form in terms of media coverage and financial burden for Venky’s is fans on the pitch and stop the games, Friday night is the perfect opportunity. If Reading can muster a few hundred fans on the pitch why the fuck can’t we, Venky’s have been here over a decade. Surely there are 200-300 anti-Venky fans who would be prepared to go through with this. Meet up before the game, decide what minute and on. Protesting in the stands doesn’t work, outside the ground doesn’t work, so what else is left? Open letter from fans / local MP’s requesting the sale of the club. 3 Quote

Stick to the facts for any protests, rumours just detract from what's trying to be achieved. It isn’t 100% confirmed, but I’m pretty confident it is true. I agree about sticking to the facts though, so for now, will assume it isn’t true. Quote
simongarnerisgod Posted Sunday at 13:00 Posted Sunday at 13:00 got to be patient with the protests and not expect everyone to be joining in straight away, personally i don`t think we`ll win another game this season and that alone will intensify fans unrest and get more moderate fans involved, ismael is clearly not liked by his players and next year will be the season of complete anarchy and fan unrest,he`s not going to get any money to spend and there is`nt any slight possibility that he`s going to turn it around 2 Quote

It’s been a form of protest in the past but fans should be mindful that entering the pitch without permission can result in a criminal record and a lifetime ban. I would encourage anyone considering it to remember who the hierarchy at the club are and whether they’d seize on the opportunity to permanently remove fans they deem to be “undesirables” or “troublemakers.” 4 Quote

Obviously he isn’t being picked now, but that doesn’t mean it wasn’t correct at the time and like your post on Caulker, there was an about turn. This with the wages, is not my opinion, it is an unconfirmed rumor, so if true it will come out, so let’s see. Quote
Popular Post Mattyblue Posted Sunday at 13:36 Popular Post Posted Sunday at 13:36 It’s 2025, ‘protest’ doesn’t need to mean lads with bedsheets. Friday morning was the best form of protest we’ve seen in a long, long time. It’s the multi-media age, so more of that please! 18 Quote

The working group is quite large now and as you'd imagine lots of emotion in there too. I find I usually need 24 hours of reflection. As a supporter base we created credits this week in the media. It's critical we remain in credit and phase 2, is precise , well thought out and does not alienate either the media or supporter base. There is a number of ideas being discussed, however at the same time, emotions can cloud your thought process after a loss. What we do next will make or break us in terms of credibility. If we turn the media off; we are on our own, and those we wish to remove wins . Equally if we divide the supporter base, we become part of the problem and not the solution. Lets see what we can achieve over the next day or two in terms of a collective move forwards on the chess board. I’ve sent you a reply on x Glen, can you follow me so I can send you a message Quote

I have no reason to doubt your info, as I have 0 inside track but the club is in the black, the CEO got a cushty payrise and we've added 2 new staff to the scouting team. Can't see how we're not paying the players. Even at our lowest the players still got paid (to my knowledge) can't see it changing now. As soon as the players stop getting paid, that's when the authorities start looking (at last) and Venky's won't allow that. 4 Quote

Like where on earth did they come from? I remember the scores being read out on a Saturday afternoon as most of will remember, "Brentford nil, Rotherham four" Brentford. What the fuck we need what they've got. we are Blackburn Rovers ffs we won the premier league, worthington cup champions multiple fa cup winners, giant killers, jewel in the crown of Lancashire. Why can't we do what Brentford has done. Venkys Out I've had enough. @glen9mullanwhatevers coming next I hope it makes a difference, hearing everyone's stories 40+ years on Ewood Park, 30+ years supporting the the Rovers.... all turning theor backs on the the regime and turning the blue light out. 💙 completely saddened by it all and royally pissed off with the whole thing. Mates of mine messaging saying they are done with the season... its just not heard of round these parts. Anyone that loves this club feels like half a person right now whilst all these other teams around us flourish. Venkys waggot suhail anyone connected if youre reading this. Do something right for once. Walk away before we all do. 2 Quote

He has incrdibly strange views though. Another one who sticks out like a sore thumb is Roverend who basically never wants to see us investing in the team in an attempt to push on as he fears it will put the Club at risk financially and he'd rather we looked for gradual improvement. over a number of years. What genuine supporter thinks like that and doesn't want to see us at least try to succeed and push on? There's about 4 or 5 of them who dominate the LT comments section. Typically one of them comes out with a ludicrous post then they all start agreeing with each other and congratulating the original poster. All very odd. As I've mentioned previously I've tried to register several times to add a bit of balance but the site wouldn't let me. I'd be interested to hear if anyone has the same problem or if it's just something I'm doing wrong. 2 Quote
