There was no scheduled under 21 game on Saturday although I've just seen there was a BCD friendly but I don't know who it was against or where it was played. The under 18's were at home on Saturday so no transport would have been needed.

Haven't the 100 Club supported the Academy by buying them a minibus?

The LT recently reported that Rovers have invoked the clause in Hyam's contract triggering an extra year.

https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/25023585.blackburn-rovers-make-decision-out-of-contract-player/

Regarding Hyam's contract extension

I would imagine this has been activated only so that they can get a fee for him in the summer (similar to Gallagher's option being taken up before he was sold last year)

Edit - U21s were away to Liverpool this weekend

Wrong here. Never said it was good appointment did I. Look at my answers to MattyBlue. Might save me repeating it

Wrong again. Never praised the appointment. Try reading what was said not what you want to read. Might help you

You said it was good forward planning, giving the impression that you thought this all was a good idea.

Didn't see the other posts because:

1. I was replying to your comment that was on a previous page and didn't see there was another page.

2. I generally ignore your posts because 99.999% of the time you're saying complete and utter codswallop.

I also like that you're recycling some of the things I've been saying to you and repeating them back at me. Bravo son, you should feel proud of yourself for that.

Enjoy your day chaddy.

It could well be the reason but it's a gamble that somebody will buy him or indeed that he himself wants to go.

It will also increase his wage and right now I can't see his stock being high enough for his agent to get him a better deal anywhere.

If there really is the level of chaos behind the scenes that is being alleged in some posts on here, it will go some way to explaining (not 100% excusing) the recent results.

Footballers aren't Einsteins but not usually idiots either. They are paid professionals but it must be pretty hard to do any job when everything going around with other colleagues, senior management etc is just bonkers.

If things turn sour on Friday I hope the fanbase doesn't turn on the players themselves - boos, groans and screaming at the individuals on the pitch won't help, but I fear it will be the go-to response for many in the stands.

I imagine the players are privately really pissed off too, they're as powerless as we are in many regards. You can be really good at your job but if your line manager, middle manager, CEO, owner etc is bonkers then you're not gonna achieve your potential.

Well well. I gave my opinion on Gestede's appointment in the summer and possible appointment as CEO. not in favour. But I respect other people who have the opposite view.

Pot kettle black. Just pointless posts or calling on us getting games postpone and falling to understand that will be criminal record which lots of people need for their job

I don't think booing the players helps anything. All it does it push them to look at the door. I for one will support the team not the Regime. We ought to stay behind and clap them off hate to see people leave we had a some good times this year staying behind to clap

Bit confused. Are we talking about u21s as I didn't think we had an u23 side now anyway?

If it's the u21s just can't see that

No, we don't have an U23's.

1st Team
U21's
U18's
Ladies Team

That's it (i think)

Has anyone heard the following over the weekend?

Travis l, Hyam and 3 other 1st team players have been told to look for new clubs due to not being able to afford them.

The u23’s had to hire a minibus to play Liverpool on Saturday at the cost of £160, and Waggott went ‘mad’ at this saying ‘how are we going to pay for that?’

VI is getting rid of the u23’s

A mate just text me all of the above.

Wouldn't surprise me in the slightest, however if we have to downgrade on players of that quality, we'll be finishing next season rock bottom of the league.

Nothing wrong with booing at HT and FT if the side have been rubbish, thats part and parcel of being a football fan for me, but never during the actual play.

It doesn't seem that long ago, when JDT left, that Waggott paraded some of the players in front of a handful of fans. They were complaining about booing and Sammie told them all, "We have been shit lads".

Another embarrassing episode under these owners, can you imagine that happening under John Williams!

Question for you Chaddy - Do you think Rudy Gestede should be Chief Executive of Blackburn Rovers?

May I?

absolutely effing not. This bloody club, or these bloody owners need booting out, one way or another. In fact any way.

I think any contract extension options are just triggered at the same terms they are currently on aren't they?

I don't often agree with Waggots management of the club but I do agree in this instance

We shouldn't be spending £160 on mini bus travel for none existent teams

This is the time people do need to be careful on spreading rumours because as others have said, if they are untrue they will massively backfire and play into the club's hands:

"Yes half the things they're posting about online and protesting about simply aren't true, we can't take them seriously, they're creating problems that aren't there, they're affecting the team negatively, we all need to be united" etc

My understanding is there is an increase built in should the club trigger an extension.

I was told this by a friend who works as an agent. He represented an ex Rover who the exact same thing happened and his wage increased considerably.

I reckon there's going to be a slew of rumours coming out over the next few weeks to keep us distracted and talking about in the hopes that we'll start accusing them of things that are untrue.

A good ol' misinformation campaign.

Let's just remember to stick with the facts and treat rumours and conjecture as just that.

Best way to deal with this is for Glen or whoever to get the media to put these various rumours to Rovers and ask them to deny or confirm then.

We can't lose. If they have to deny rumours such as players not being paid, then that is embarrassing for them.

If they don't deny them, that's a big story in itself.

Heading "Rovers refuse to deny some players haven't been paid" or "Rovers do not deny some first-team players have been told to find another club."

I like it!.

Whatever Hyam is being paid, it’s far too much.

Pure speculation on my part but if the rumour of a player not being paid on time and it only relates to one player is true is this a means of encouraging him out the door in the summer .?
