Well, you would…..

Don’t forget, under these owners, every time we don’t think it can get any worse, it does.

’We can’t get any worse than Henning Berg. We can’t get any worse than Michael Appleton’.

’Well, he’s a bad player, but he can’t be any worse than Elliott Ward’.

The main point was that I think Gestede would be a worse CEO than Waggott and I don’t rate the latter at all.

Just think this could be Gestedes pedestal to actually get something right for the club, to make some kind of positive changes.

Of course seeing is believing

As much as I can't stand the owners and am tired and fed up of Steve Waggott, there is no way that Rudy Gestede will be the club's next CEO. Don't let talk of it distract anyone from the current issues at hand.

I'm not pretending to be ITK or anything like that, the idea itself is just bonkers for a hundred reasons and not even the Venkys for all their other failings are going to do something like that.

Really? Feels like exactly the type of appointment they'll make.

Been shadowing a guy who's been running the show for years, the same guy who just got a massive payrise for his work.

A seamless transition from one to the next.

And he'll likely be cheaper than anyone else.

One thing we do know is that whoever they go for next to replace Waggott (if he can ever peel himself away from lucrative Venky employment) will not be someone proven, qualified, experienced.

They have owned the club for 15 years nearly, of which the first 7 years they didn't bother with any CEO or Chairman and then since 2017 have left this bloke to do it, who must have thought Christmas had come early when he had to give backword to part time work at Gillingham to take the reigns at this club. I remain convinced he only got it due to a good word being put in by Uncle Tony during his tea and biscuits in Pune.

So forget getting someone half decent or qualified for the role. They won't. At best it will be someone cheap and compliant, desperate for job. A 6 figure salary and expenses paid trips to sit there pretending to be important and on the canapes at Championship grounds. Only drawback is you get a bit of stick from supporters on the rare occasions you can be bothered to meet with them.

The timing to release at 9am today was for these reasons.

1. We have to legally notify the club if a press release is imminent if we name individuals.

2. With international break just ended, we knew it be slow news day bar press conferences today, so for this to go National (we are championship so less air time) it was perfect slot

3. We knew club had a big PR campaign on route about backing the team, whilst Gestede has interviews lined up Tuesday. We also knew the manager had his presser today and it would scew the script they intended to brief him on.

4. We knew by giving them the heads up yesteday they'd be fumbling a reaction to a potential protest. They'd called a senior leadership meeting to head this off, unbeknown to them our unity message both screwed their PR campaign and every response they thought they had covered.

5. We expected them to refuse the request to not attend, whereas in essence they now become the protest organisers.

6. We expected this stance giving us a whole week to plan for next Fridays game, a phase 2.

7. The story which has run today has played out 100% as we expected, which now makes us stronger because we have their measure.

We had to take a risk, i think even our own supporters were expecting a protest to be called and a rant at venkys. We measured the risk of by pushing for pre 10am traction. We'd already primed the media and done some market intelligence to see how it would land with the media.

Experience has certainly paid off here, understanding what we did previously, what worked , what didn't, but also being cute. It was always going to end supporters 1 v 0 board, today. However their statement has probably just made it 2-0, as they are clearly on the ropes, before we've even turned up the heat.

This is our first coalition action but we are already moving with the next. This one's history.

Well done Glen, let’s get these parasites out. All of them.

The amount of clueless spineless fools defending these rats is truly mind boggling. Guy on Blackburn Roverseas podcast who sits in Riverside is one of their biggest cheer leaders. Absolutely pathetic individuals.

Really. It’s enraging to listen to and I am convinced he has to be in the Rovers payroll because I refuse to believe anybody can be that spineless or thick.

Could be all of the above...

Really impressive effort and thank you but if there are more videos we need the message to be clear it's "Venky's Out"... the media and supporters of other clubs need to understand exactly what we want. That would be my constructive criticism.

Every video needs to end with "Venky's Out" written in your express yourself text... if this is the theme of the movement.

should have been done weeks ago. Gestede or Waggott should have been speaking publicly after Eustace wanting to go Derby and after that was confirmed, They should be proactive but yet they didn't. The club should be more media friendly and more open with supporters. When Ismael was appointed, Gestede and Waggott should be out there stating why Ismael was selected and why he was the right fit.

I express myself by not attending/spending money. I hope it's toxic on Friday.

Ditto- I’m completely boycotting from now on, even though I’m still paying for my season ticket.

Good luck to those who are attending though.
