But in the past we've got money out of the Venkys - Gallagher, Brereton etc. It's a bit of both, you've got the venkys not putting the money and you've got the CEO happy to trundle along and collect his paycheck.

A good CEO would have gone to the venkys and said "let us have 30% of it, we'll reinvest it in these players who will help us kick on on the pitch and we'll be able to sell one of them in a couple of seasons for big bucks". A good CEO would quit after not being backed continually - not sit back and collect his pension.

He very much is happy to collect his paycheque of course and not rock the boat. But the issue comes back to the owners being unwilling to reinvest. Waggott being replaced by Gestede wont change that. I very much doubt that Waggott has aggressively pushed for more to reinvest, nor will Gestede, but I doubt even more than it would make any difference anyway. If they were willing to reinvest they would do.

Interesting that the Sheffield Wednesday problems have been highlighted nationally on the BBC Football web site by the BBC Radio Sheffield football correspondent. Obviously a man not frightened by any backlash from the club.
Over to you Andy Bayes to put the spotlight on our owners nationally, or are you running scared?

I know Bayes has a balancing act to play here given who he’s employed by, but he simply cannot give this guy an easy ride with just nods and pleasantries.

This sewer rat needs grilling and outing.

Its Venkys who wont allow half of the Wharton money into signings, not Waggott. And its that lack of investment that particularly pisses managers off.

Take him out and put in another CEO and we dont suddenly start reinvesting sales proceeds.

Its good if he goes because he isnt a good CEO but Venkys are and always have been the problem.

He has agency - and by all accounts they're incredibly hands off owners.

He's allowed to say "You gave me a target of 'x' for this financial year. I've met that - now I'm going to spend 'y' on new players to build for the future."

He hasn't done that because he's lazily earmarked 'y' (i.e. the next Wharton instalment fee) to the next financial target he has to hit - because he's absolutely on cruise control heading into retirement. We all know the sort.

This is why it was so important for Suhail to be targeted.

He is the main man, and the ignorant / uninformed needed to know that.

Many more people will now know who he is and about his strategic role at the club.

Give him a call. I've got his number 😂

Can we change the thread title to Venkys Out, Suhail Out?

We’re going to run out of people to want out!

Venkys, Suhail, Waggott, Gestede, Ismael - get the whole lot out and start again.

The players also have a lot to answer for. Too many in that squad just happy to be there and pick up a pay cheque for average performances.

The whole club, aside from a very successful academy, is toxic from top to bottom.

You want to know something that will really piss you off?

There's 18.5 million sitting in the VLL books that's been there since November.

There was literally millions available to spend during January.

But you forget, that has to be drip fed to Rovers over the next billion years to keep the lights on

Get Venkys gone and Waggott, Suhail and Gestede very quickly follow. None are qualified or appropriate people to have running a Championship football club. I task anyone to identify anything any of them have done prior to their current positions that suggests they possess the required experience or skills to run what should be a club aiming to be in the Premier League.

All three of them have benefited greatly from the negligence of the Venky regime. I can't even blame them for that too much, it is a job for which they are well paid and they wouldn't have got near anywhere else.

A real owner worthy of the name would very quickly have all three clearing their desks.

Does anyone have an inkling of what they're expecting Pasha to say tomorrow, if he's speaking to media?

Unless he's announcing the club is for sale, does anyone care too much? I'm not that interested in hearing him trying to apologise for, justify or explain any of the awful decisions and situations he is responsible for, if that is his approach.

He will announce that it is April fools day.

They seem to think:

Venkys are still funding us at the rate of £20M a year

But, at the same time, this represents debt which a new owner would have to repay.

We can't sign decent players because our hands are tied by FFP.

No-one would be interested in buying the Club if Venkys wanted to sell.

ALL WRONG!!!

Some of those early posts are so ludicrous that they have to be Dingles or plants.

I tries to sign up, but couldn't and on reflection I've decided my blood pressure comes first. Its a health risk on there!
