Anyone who can sit through this shower of shite for so long and not offer enough challenge to have been removed from their position by suhail or resign in protest / disgust is a part of the problem.

This bothers me.

Rob Coar was there in the 70's with Bancroft, Keighley, Fox and Brown et al. He certainly had a big role during the glorious 90's.

Seeing him alongside the rats looks like a deliberate attempt at presenting this club-killing cabale, as a continuation of the Rovers golden thread.

Well, this regime could not be further from the previous ones and WTF must Rob Coar be thinking?!

The cheques haven't bounced yet.

I'm pretty sure he has been moved along the row so he is now sat directly next to the curtain twitcher. In previous photos and footage he is sat much further away.

It occurred to me that this might be deliberate and an attempt to portray a 'united front' and a more comprehensive image of 'the board'.

Heaven knows what goes through Coar's head and why he has willingly gone along with this regime for 15 years allowing his name to be carried along with it. I can only assume that he's happy with the ownership and fellow board members.

Exactly. How could he do it?

I deduce from that he is thinking of himself, his seat in the Directors Box and a nice meal before each game.

If I remember correctly he was for many years involved with the FA on some committee.

Didn't he threaten legal action when someone asked him if Jack Walker was alive could he look him in the eyes? I'm pretty sure it was at a Supporters Consultation meeting and he stormed out.

Yes, it involved a well known fellow BRFCS poster!

I think it was that that same meeting, when I heard Coar say that the decision making/ communication with the Raos in India was "just the same as when Jack was here"... So, his attempts at normalising this shite goes back awhile!

He sat in the board room with Jack. He was chairman when we won the league!

Now he’s sat there taking the dodgy rupees for 15 years without a single word…

Doesn’t bother me in the slightest to call it what it is - collaboration

it's deliberate. He was chairman when we won the Premier League. He provides the veneer of respectability.

He probably got asked to move seats so as to have another person in the frame to take some flak. "A problem shared is a problem halved bob, come sit next to Pasha"

Probably not to be a united front but another human shield for suhail.

He's complicit but he's not the main problem.

Forum spotters - nice try but tell Suhail it won't work.

Coar is probably the only remaining link between the Walker era and Venky's. He's see the 30 years of success, change and upheaval and decline, and presumably would have some interesting views.  Have Glen and his group spoken to him?

Yeah told them he’d see them in court about 10 years ago…

I remember a few years ago, before Waggott was here and when the owners had gutted the club and board to the point where Mike Cheston, financial director, was effectively the only active director in the UK.

Then they had, under League rules, to host Supporter Consultation meetings where fan groups could grill those running the club on various subjects.

Poor old Cheston wasn't very good at this and made a number of concerning admissions and gaffes.

Then one meeting they rolled out Bob Coar. Quite surprising given he has (supposedly) no active hands on involvement in the club and I think this is the only time I have ever seen him attend forums or such meetings.

It was there that he ended up threatening legal action against fans. After that I don't think he appeared again.

I found this photo on the Rovers website of the directors box in the late 90s just after Brian Kidd was appointed manager.

An interesting comparison almost 30 years apart. The seat once occupied on matchdays by Jack Walker occupied now by Steve Waggott, and old Bob continues to sit there in silence.
